Great reaction as always, I absolutely love this episode, for me it's one of those that I don't necessarily regard as one of the best but it's certainly one of the most memorable and great episodes that we have witnessed.
I always took Hershel's lines about 'life being a test' more as a way to keep moving forward rather than how he used to be which was completely
disillusioned by that idea - you did mention it briefly, but it's really about
whatever brings the good out of someone, I can safely say religion (grew up in a religious environment but decided to break away) can definitely bring the worst out in people and really close people off, but if it helps you in the way it helps Hershel, to help and bring the best out of you, then I have no
qualms!
I think the show has done a really good job with his beliefs tbh as he's not annoying and preachy about it; because I think he now understands the world for what it is - and I love the development path they have taken him on so far, and I WAS one of those who did comment about your attitude towards
Hershel but I was very hesitant for a long time as I always try to take on the perspective of being up to the point you're up to so didn't really want to push too much on that idea of LOVING Hershel haha! But ye I knew you would warm to him as he's such a good character now!!
I was laughing so hard at that last scene "PLEAAASE tell me there's some positivity coming from this now..." "Can we not have any bad news towards the end of the episode"
You're fully onboard with all us fans and our constant hesitation to feel comfortable hahaha but it is SO justified!!
Looking forward to the rest of the season and beyond!!
