Appreciate it Anna lol 😆

Micarl1208

Me coming to the comments to say "Hey so, the look of kindred is kind of interesting in Ambessa's music video" only to find the walls of text describing every detail XD Don't ever change y'all.

Anna Kyruin

I also second this. I hope they fit in Shogun though at some point. It's only one season so far and not much time commitment needed. Beautiful cinematography, great writing and actors, followed with a good musical score.

Micarl1208

i support the idea

Joaquin garcia

Speaking of the walking dead, yall should react to Invincible some TWD actors are voice actors on it. It’s one of the most popular american animation shows rn. And it’s not for kids to be clear

Kim555

Can’t wait for their next project/show it will be great. Also their open world game is in the making so can’t wait for the future

Kim555

if you wanna watch more cinematics: A Twist Of Fate (2013), A New Dawn (2015), Awaken (2019), Warriors (2020), The Call (2022), Still Here (2024).

Joaquin garcia

with mel and the character at the end saying Piltover was a lesson, the cinematic takes place after Arcane.

Joaquin garcia

Well said. And they apparently have been working on an MMO now. But according to rumors been in production now for like 7+ years with no trailer, just rumors and talk about it from Riot Games two founders periodically over the years. lol

While i love playing league its a game genre that appeals more to older gamers. most of which grew up playig oldschool rts games like starcraft etc. Would love yall to try but tbh i don't see alot of newer audience getting into games like these unless you have alot of time to invest in learning the game etc. the nature of the game is 5 v 5 versus, which in most case means you are thrust into a team with random people versus random opponents. Not the easiest way to learn a new game, and because its online with randoms tensions can rise between people quite easily. Especially with games on the longer side lasting upwards of 30 minutes. Game is also heavily polarizing where one mistake can often lead to wide gaps in matchups. Tons of lore and characters, but for a versus game not knowing who you are up against can lead to a bad gaming experience. I really hope you do enjoy learning the lore and watching cinematics and such, but if you do want to actually play the game be prepared to either put in the Blood sweat and tears, or the game might not be a game for yall to play but instead just watch. who knows, maybe you turn this into a gaming channel, or you could play some of the spinoff games that more follow the lore of the world instead of the core game that focuses on the multiplayer.

Sory last fun fact, the reason why players call characters - champions. When Leblanc referenced "The Rune Wars" in season 2 - episode 8 which possibly the biggest event in league (For backstory, league of legends is called that because at one point in time, all of Runeterra got into a great war called the Rune Wars and it almost destroyed the whole world. In order to prevent this, the world established the "league of legends" where each region could vote on their most powerful champions to fight in an arena. Whomever won, would gain voting rights in the bigger political picture of the world. And that's how league of legends was formed lore wise and background for the actual game, thus why players refer to them as champions. p.s. For Bridging the Rift, you might want subtitles on or keep remote nearby, they have moments where people speak French since the animation studio is based out of France

Welcome To Noxus: Firstly, we open with an image of a wolf which represents one half of Kindred. This is in reference to Ambessa blood, sweat and Tears because Mel has “The Mark of the chosen/The Mark of the Wolf.” Also, the opening starts on the same exact beach that Ambessa's cinematic took place, you can look at it shot for shot, I think it is on Rockrund, a beach near Noxus. Next part shows Katarina attending a ball dance. For some context, League released some Noxus skins for Ezreal, Renata Glasc (the most powerful chembaron from Zaun), Thresh, and some others. The reasoning is that the “Black Rose” apparently has invited some other strong suitors to a party, hoping to gain their pledge. We don’t see them here (it is to be assumed they all might make teases or appearances in the next series), but Katarina snuck her way into the dance. Katarina is an assassin for Noxus, very skilled (Also she went through a blood ritual, so her blades are magically tied to her. Meaning she can teleport to them or teleport them back.) Next, we have Darius, a young Darius going up against young Trundle, the king of the Trolls from the Frejlord. Now we technically don’t know if Noxus at this point is attempting to push in Frejlord or if actually the Trolls came too far down on purpose. (Most likely Noxus pushing in Frejlord since they are about conquering other nations and lands) The Trolls of Frejlord are close with Lissandra who can make true ice weapons. To keep it short, True Ice weapons are very powerful, no mere mortals can actually touch the weapon, they literally die if they touch the weapon. Only makers of True Ice or “Ice-borne” can touch these types of weapons. Now to be technical in this cinematic, Darius doesn't directly touch Trundle's club, but we can assume just a piece of the ice corrupted his axe, thus why Darius' hand and arm start to freeze, but don't kill him. Also, maybe a “little cheating” but we can also assume due to Darius willpower, strength, and stamina is why it doesn't fully corrupt/kill him. The gate that Mel is walking up to is the opening Arch to Noxus and in the far distance is the home capital, Immortal Bastion. It actually is the largest standing building in all of Runeterra.. Next as Katarina is attempting to kill her target, we see Elise pop out who is a spider. She also got invited to the Noxus ball, presumably protecting someone. Elise is more of a shadow Isle’s champ, but she is part of the Black Rose because Leblanc saved her and she became mutated after being bitten by a Spider-demi god called “Vilemaw.”. At the very end, we officially get to see Leblanc, it is confirmed this is her official VGU (Visual Game Update) and as of right now, lore accurate appearance. Along with Leblanc we get to see Vladamir, he actually used to be human MANY centuries ago, but he magically altered himself, absorbed the power of darkin and has been using blood magic to keep himself young. Vlad and Leblanc established The Black Rose centuries ago and they work from the shadows. There is technically a third person, but we do not know who that is yet. We again hear reference to “opportunity washed up on our shore = Mel” (again showing a wolf because she has the mark of the wolf from Kindred) The calamity they are talking about is the return of Mordekaiser, which the black rose is trying to prevent. To keep it short, basically all of Runeterra does not want the mofo returning and he is actually banished underneath the immortal bastion (Also much of Runeterra doesn’t actually know who he is because when he existed was centuries ago, except for Leblanc and Vlad and any other people part of The Black Rose organization.) As per usual, the Black Rose are considered “evil”, but in their evil doings, they are trying to prevent a worse event from happening as referenced right above. The very last thing people are Guessing it’s either a reference to Aatrox sword, or Naafiri dagger, both of which are Darkin weapons or it could be Riven’s sword (Riven is a champion from Noxus). Hopefully that breaks everything down for ya lol. Riot Games announced that this year, they would be resetting their seasons back to season 1 (thus why it’s called season 1 cinematic) and changing their format, since league came out in 2010, every year is considered 1 season = 1 year, thus they always do a top tier cinematic for launch. (this year would’ve been season 15 cinematic). But this year, they are going to reset seasons, and including “chapters” throughout the season, meaning they were upping their cinematics now to 3 in a year, possibly. They definitely left out a lot of champs people wanted such as Draven, Riven, Rell, Swain, Mordekaiser, Samira, Kled, and some others. I feel like for some very die hard fans of just league, it could start splitting up the player base/fan base, just slightly. I personally end up leaning towards loving this trailer though, I love the freaking music. I don’t think anybody expected to see Trundle or Frejlord and I think once we get into the Noxus show, they are definitely setting up all their puzzle pieces to then expand everywhere else, Shurima, Ionia, Frejlord, Demacia, etc. I also just wanted to point out if people haven’t thought about it, Katarina is a VERY skilled assassin, not only can elise transform into a spider whenever (Idk why she stops, but it’s a trailer) but to take on two arms, plus her spider arms, that takes some mad skill and training. Again, I know it’s a trailer, but katarina is really bad ass, just like Darius, embodies much of Noxus willpower, strength, and skill. And here's a good way to describe Noxus, Overall, they are viewed as evil, expansionist nation that likes war. But internally, they just value strength above all else. Ironically, and not to retcon the show, they offer any many new nations they conquer a chance to join the nation of Noxus from lowest citizen to the highest official. If you can do something and you have the willpower to show your value, you will do well. Darius and his brother started out in the slums of Noxus and both worked their way up to the highest ranks of the Noxian military. Darius himself eventually becomes part of the Trifarix in his later years, he represents Might and also called "The Hand of Noxus." Swain represents Vision and there's Guile, but in league lore we don't know who that is. The Trifarix was setup after fall of Mordekaiser so that if one leader fell or was corrupted, another could stop that from happening, whatever the situation. In short, they are a meritocracy that values individuals' abilities, strengths, and talents vs. wealth, social class, or race. In short, if you are weak, you will not survive in Noxus society.

Blood, Sweat and Tears: The opening starts with Ambessa being approached by a Wolf. In league of legends/world of Runeterra, The wolf is one half of the character called “The Kindred” and they serve as the Grim Reaper in the world of Runeterra. The story goes that Death was so lonely that it split itself in two, so it would "always have a friend". One half is the Lamb, and the other half is the Wolf. Lamb represents the peace in acceptance of death, wielding a bow to deliver a swift end, and Wolf represents the violence of rejecting and running from death, being literally a beast that mauls anything that tries to escape. You only see them when they've decided your time has come. (One last quick note - Lamb feels little but knows everything, while Wolf feels everything but knows little. They also played a big part in cinematics this past year, 2024 for League) Now secondly, every culture in Runeterra worships The Kindred differently, to keep it simple, in Noxus culture they only worship the wolf, as they do not believe in a peaceful death/nor giving up, which is why she sees only the wolf at first. Because of this Ambessa is transported to another realm to fight the Wolf and is manifested as other league champions, who we can presume have fought “The Kindred” also, but survived and got a second chance at life. Also, the desert land and blue people, is post to show us a slight backstory to Ambessa and where she is originally from. To keep it simple as heck, we can assume Ambessa is from Shuirma which used to be the biggest nation in Runeterra at one point. Outside of why they fell, we can assume Noxus conquered part of Shurima and where Ambessa was from, so Ambessa is originally Shuriman before being annexed into the Noxus empire. Also, we see her lifting a lamb which can be two things, one is a representation of her losing/sacrificing her innocence and secondly the other half of Kindred since it’s a lamb. Then the person she is fighting and the 2 other gold people are Pantheon (with shield. He is from Mount Targon), Swain with the red hand (He is basically one of the 3 leaders of Noxus) and Katarina (who is a Noxus assassin) The creature she walks up to is the other half of kindred, the lamb. (Also be aware, since each culture worships The Kindred differently, they visually can look different. Their base verision is white) Since we can assume Ambessa passed the wolf's challenge, the Lamb is offering Ambessa a second chance at life. To finish off the cinematic, this also means Kindred is giving her baby, which is Mel the “Mark of the chosen/Mark of the wolf.” which is why the baby eyes glow gold. This isn't specifically why Mel has powers, but it does help explain also why she's partially very powerful/hard to kill. Those with the Mark of the wolf, practically can't die..very hard to kill in league lore. (Riot Games released their first novel that was Ambessa's backstory along with who she had Mel with. It's not anybody specific that' super important, but where the person is from that helps explains her powers. I won't reveal anything for spoiler reasons whether you decide to read the book, they elaborate on it in upcoming show, or you just google it yourself lol.)

So welcome to league fandom. I will post 3 things, two for each cinematic and little more description and lastly for some context on future of league, but more so the shows. Also the cinematics were watched backwards because Blood, Sweat and Tears came out before the other one. And in your total defense, League cinematics are pretty lore heavy. Just be aware, league as of right now has 170 characters, which ALL can be main characters in their own right, and many of them intertwine or cross paths. When league first released in 2010, they only had 40 champions, but over the years they release champions to extend the roster of the game, but they go very in-depth with the lore. I guess the main part, just be aware the lore and stories are already all built out. I think it just depends how you three decide how deep you want to go into the lore and don't care about any possible spoilers. While a Patreon exclusive, the league community is big and vast. Many channels that end up deep diving typically say in the end they are glad they did because it does excit them for the future, but I can't speak for you 3. Just realize, the world that Riot Games has created is vast, large, complex, but very beautiful across the board. Ironically, many of the stories end up being cliche such as duality, and families at their core, but they just damn work with the settings, characters, environment and IP they have built. While none of us have insider information and details, just going based off lots of interviews after season 2 released. 1)They have announced they are making shows now to expand, Noxus while not OFFICIALLY announced, it seems like that is going to be our next story location, but they said they are working on Ionia & Demacia. 2)Honestly, Riot Games is sort of bad on this, specifically that they tend to retcon a lot of their stuff lol, but the cinematics are post to be canon now. They are wanting to adapt their IP to long for television and that will be all the characters fleshed out stories, however many they can cover. 3)It's highly speculated that Riot Games actually barely made any or at all Return on Investments of Arcane. Now I don't think they did it the goodness out of their heart to spend 250 million and not want any money back, but I don't think anywhere near enough to make a profits. League just went through a big controversy in the game because they took away a lot of free in-game rewards and wanted to make sure the business was in a good place. Let's just say the community wasn't very happy and after like 12 days of the community boycotting the game, Riot games came out and address the issue, apologized along with reversing their decisions. It's highly inferred Riot Games is trying to find ways to fund their big entertainment projects now since they are so expensive. 4) On the last part, if y'all play league, can I call Molly a nerd now? :p. Jk just. Honestly, I really wouldn't recommend it, BUT you 3 can play together which might make it a tad bit more enjoyable (the actual game of league itself is basically two teams of 5v5 on one map. So, if you 3 play together, you will only have to deal with 2 other humans who could be toxic. You also can play ai matches to learn or just find two more people so you can queue with 5 people total and no random humans who could be toxic.) I would only tell you to play if have friends because the community is quite toxic overall, especially to new players. And the game does not look anything like the cinematics. But they put immense amount of effort into their videos. Their season cinematics, they spend 3-9 months on a 3-5 minute cinematic just to hype up the community for the new season. And even over the years non-league players react to them because of how beautiful they are. And be aware Riot Games is a multi-game developer, so they have other games they have created that are all set in the world of Runeterra that can be good entry points if you really wanted to just dive deep on your own time if any of you game at all. If you wanted to see gameplay for a reaction or your own time, I could send a good few recommendations if you want any. I'll leave my post at that. If y'all decide not to deep dive after Bridging the Rift, we'll understand if you want to avoid spoilers lol. But really all the lore is already built out and much of their videos are just beautiful short stories that give you short glimpse into the world.

Micarl1208

Yea there’s a reason why s2 was a bit rushed. The lore is too huge, they wanna showcase bigger characters with more interesting storylines
