Headphones in studio pt. 2

Comments

As a voice to content discussion: being at certain level of skills in all videos posted there are breaking moments which totally change/improve my workflow. This is right way to watch it: to wait for even 2 minutes of workflow/software I never considered to apply it as it was done in movie. So it is worth to watch every second of movies posted.

The content is still great, keep paying attention to your patreon

Akem, I appreciate your feedback. However, with all due respect and you're of course free to feel in any way you do, but you're wrong about me using loyal Patrons as cash cows. I've released 7 videos the past two months, that's not 'a token post every second month'. If you've been along for a while, you know it goes in waves. Sometimes I can make a whole bunch of videos with short intervals, other times I don't get to focus on it as much. Besides from me having had quite a lot to do lately, I can let you know that I've re-recorded the Connecter video 2 times already because I just don't feel it comes out worthy enough. I also have 4 parts recorded of a new project that has not been edited, I wanted to make sure that I'll actually follow through with it before I start posting it, but that will be posted with pretty shot intervals. Besides that, I don't know what you expect to get for a pizza (that's roughly what you get for 8 bucks), but you are of course always free to end your patronage at any time if you'd like. You are here completely out of your own free will and I don't get offended if people don't think it's worth it. :-)

Indeed! :-)

Thank you for the suggestion and I obviously missed your last request. I'm not totally sure what you're looking for, but I'm happy to look into it. I don't concider myself a professional shader creator to be honest, as I always try to keep things as simple as possible, I just find it easier that way. However I'm always open to a challenge! If you have any specific reference images, I'd love to see any!

Haven't really been using substance a lot, other than for the character I've been playing with lately. So I do concider myself a complete noob at it, but this is a good reason to learn it better :-)

Your content is way too far and between these days. Your taking advantage of your loyal patreons, A token post every couple of months just isn't good enough for the number of subscribers you have. Your using us as as a cash-cow.

Next video is Connecter one, I suppose ? ;))

as always - great! In your last post my reply got so likes, so i`ll repeat it here, and maybe someday you will cover it - awesome man! But what i would like to ask you is that - what do you think about replicating the real life plasic paint. If you look closer to any hi end white plastic products with a little bit of a matte finish - like iqos, google home etc - they do have a barely visible shimmering on it - due to the finishing layer, which has a tiny rough surface and thats why it gives a nice matte surface but what it also gives is a tiny shimmering cause the transparent finish has an index of refraction similar to glass etc.... i hope you understand what i mean. So i tried to replicate this effect as a multi-layer material and a noise normal map, but the final result that i got does not satisfy me. Thanks and i would love to hearing from you about is cause for example it would also give an extremely realistic effect to the anodized materials for mac book that you also have in you studio renderings, cause if you look closer to the mac book surface it also has the shimmering effect due to the process of adding a layer of transparent finish to it after anodizing.

Good video as usual! I would love to see more about product rendering with some texturing in Substance Painter if you use it.
