Quick Comic + *Book Update*

Friends! I am very happy to say that my Falsetober story from last year is finally getting printed! I have called it Spores and it should be finished in early April. Here is a photo of the proof that the printer sent me:
A proof is a draft-printing of the manuscript I sent them, using the paper and ink of my choice, but in large sheets before getting cut. This year I chose to do a spot-colour process (as opposed to offset printing, which I used for "HOP!") which yielded a very vibrant red. Seducingly sanguine.
I'm excited to see the final product and to start shipping them off! It's funny to me that a project that is initially designed around very tight time constraints can end up taking many months longer to be put into print production. I'm not complaining though! In fact, I am very appreciative of the printer I worked with for their dedication to quality and making sure everything is up to my standards!

β’ it is 88 pages long β twice as long as "HOP!" from the year before!
β’ I drew at least 135 partial or full chickadees for the story!
β’ I am not going to count how many of the red 'mushrooms' I painted! Never!
