My girl and I were engaged within 2 months, we’ve been together 7 years now

Before I watch I want to say... I think I'm going to ask for THT patreon for my birthday to go with my new headphones! Awesome idea with the sale! (It's more expensive in Canada so it puts it exactly in my pay range!)

Eden Standing

my boyfriend and i met in 2016 (juniors in hs), had a little thing for a few months, broke that off, took a couple months to process emotions, became friends again (around the end of 2017), and lastly stayed best friends until we began dating in 2021<3

I am also on the boat that for best results, talk about marriage/proposal ahead of time. Just to ensure you're both on the same page about pace/timing. If someone proposed to me before we even discussed marriage id feel weird about it. But that's just my personal preference!

Marisol

I know a couple that got engaged after 2 days, married after a week. They have 5 kids and have been married for 30 years now. So it can work🤷🏼‍♀️

Corinne Johnson

Justin said something along the lines of “get out the wedding bells!” After their first date from what I recall, you guys explain a long time ago

Syriah

2 YEARS?!?! That is actually insane.

The divorce comment…… you should def think about it long and hard. And it’s not that easy in every state. Here in Texas, you have to be living separate for a full 2 years. That’s not easy. Also, things can change drastically. If you know what I’m talking about.

My aunt married my uncle after 1 month together. They've been married for 13 years now and have 2 kids. I think it's best to wait before proposing at least one year. People change and relationships change. If something goes wrong it might be hard to recover your friendship afterwards.

I think DO NOT GET MARRIED THAT FAST. I just don’t see the point. It’s not this magical thing that makes everything perfect, it’s a commitment and it’s hard. And especially considering y’all have barely dated, just be chill and have fun getting to know each other as romantic partners. Maybe I’m bitter, but I honestly think getting married so fast would not be a smart decision.

Bailey Perez

I just thought this, and I agree with when you know you know, but in the same vein, I say it doesn't matter when. I married my first boyfriend. We met when we were 13. Started dating when we were 14. We just got married at 34 on our 20th anniversary this year. It doesn't matter when you get married, just that it's right. It didn't matter when, I just knew it was right with him. I'm so happy.

With Trump and project 2025 planning on ending no fault divorce, I wouldn’t be tooo confident that they can just divorce whenever they want. Marriage needs to be exercised with caution these upcoming years.

Mary Kate

I’m so early😂

New episode AND a bonus story in one day?!
