2024-07-19 07:39:01 +0000 UTCCaitlin, the actress who plays the witch language teacher is also in Squid Game, lol, which was funny because...they are almost the same character, only a different flavor. ALSO the song they sang the first time in this episode, it has the same feeling of the time "Butterfly" (?) came out in Korea. It was one of the older songs that Johnny and NCT 127 sang on one of those NCT 127 content YouTube channel videos. "Butterfly" was also used during one of the Coming of Age Ceremony performances during one of the year-end programs or something too where they had idols, that were "becoming adults" in Korean society, singing the song. To correct myself, the song in this series is NOT "Butterfly", but the way it sounds reminds me of that era. AND I think the writers/producers changed the song in real life because of copyright from Nirvana, maybe. So they made the real change part of the storyline by having the change be from the one girl instead to make it more organic? I'm just guessing. Having her be the reason for the change of the song makes sense...because of how the character (the dad) reacts to her and blindly follows her, yeah.

2024-07-17 16:56:15 +0000 UTCIt was the mom's back story and the parent's love story that really sold me on this show. Her individual story breaks your heart but their love story is so sweetly satisfying. I liked the show overall but truly it was the mom and dad's journey that hooked me in.
