I know this is an old post but I agree. There should only be lines were there’s less fat and the line still need to be softer. More shading than lines.

I am the one with skin conditions, scars, vitiligo and the cleft lip from Discord! I said that I have a personal reason for the cleft lip, let's say a close experience with it. Like I want it gone in my youth (you know kids and teens are bullies), despite my scar being said to be nicely done. Then I learned to love it, or at least to live with it in peace, realizing how much it helped me to learn, and to expose people's flat minds and prejudices. I know that we don't have much representation of that condition, and it's not attractive to any game, as a scar. But it's one of those rare stuff that people live with, like the wheelchair. Not the same, but similar a motive in others for bullying and prejudice. Maybe it's for good, that no one includes it! Maybe I'll try to joke-suggest it to Maxis! LOL (sorry, for the length! If you have to make a game with all of my flaws, you will need to make a separate game called Misfits real-life simulator)

Hi, the pecs seem a bit off, n some of the lines seem unusually deep, could u guys check the P subreddit, someone made some changes, that might be nice to see n take from. Though I love you guys' aesthetic, soft, varied, ranged, patchy like real skin, light splodge n flushy-ed animated feel, n color gradients everywhere(like real skin, n how people are seen in lights), unlike single color stuff, though some humans do have skin like that. Makeup looks do that, i guess for those options, too, and for what it is

Hi Paralives team! I love the bodyhair, but some of the upper arm and thigh hair looks a bit like cellulite. Cellulite is great to have as its own thing and is great for inclusivity, but currently the hair looks more like that than hair. Love the work you've put into everything.

While I do recall that the parafolks' bodies are hyper customizable, I can't remember if that includes being able to widen the shoulders, or lift the pec muscles. It's been so long since I've watched the video on it

personally i always like the original skin texture, but the revised version doesn't take away too much from the original (for which im super grateful) and hopefully this will ease the minds of players who weren't a big fan when the public gets to see

As a baker I absolutely *adore* the aprons! I seriously can’t wait to play with different colors and patterns. Would love to see a chef’s hat and maybe some oven mittens or something in the future! Or an apron that has things like a rolling pin/rubber spatula etc. sticking out of the front pockets. The improved skin textures look amazing, especially around the front/back of the knees. I actually don’t mind some of the extra lines in areas like the torso, because it feels like there’s a bit more texture. Perhaps some additional shadows/shading or other little details can help with that while still keeping the softer lines that everyone likes? Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but I was wondering if you guys have any plans to include common medical/movement aids in customization? Things like hearing aids, canes, wheelchair, mobility cane for visual impairments etc. You guys have put some fantastic emphasis on inclusivity and diversity, both in cosmetic ways as well as accessibility features for the game itself. As a wheelchair user it would be really nice to have some representation for the first time in a game like this. Even if it’s not initially part of the base game and is something added later, I know a lot of us in the disabled community (many of whom love to play cozy games like this) would love to be able to truly make ourselves and have that representation in a life sim game (particularly one as awesome as this one!)

Thank you! :) That's a good question! Right now, when mouse hovering items in the Paramaker menu, it shows its name in the modding tools so it's easy to find the item and disable it. We might improve this and show additional info like the exact mod it is coming from

Absolutely love the new skin textures, they look fantastic - it's made a world of difference! The skin details are much more natural looking now - thank you for implementing the changes and hope it wasn't too much extra work for the team. The new clothes look awesome, too. The adjusted models look good :) There's a difference, but the spirit of the skin texture remains, I expect everyone should be happy with this ! Looking at the, um, stylish yeah let's go with stylish, thigh high neon stockings that Mr. Mustache is wearing here (and who am I to dismiss his fashion sense, really ?!), I was wondering if we'd have a way to disable some PAM assets *from inside the game*. I've recently started adding mods to my copy of That Other Game™ (yes, it did take me that long), and one thing that enrages me is that if I find an asset that doesn't work as intended when I'm browsing the equivalent of the PAM, there is no way to find how it's named to delete the file (should the file be poorly named, and they often are especially in an ocean of content) when there is 5 different files named the same way with just the number at the end changing (is that file ModDevName_StylishNeonStockings_3 ? In the wise words of Mark Wahlberg : maybe, maybe not, maybe f yourself). Meanwhile I know games that allow disabling and/or uninstalling mods from inside the game, and it's so much more convenient ! You can see what you're deleting !!! Anyway, back to my original question : how is it gonna work in Paralives ? And will it maybe work with basegame assets too, since the game itself works like a mod ?

Wow.... I love the reduction in the lines. So so so much better (in my opinion, sorry devs). The apron is awesome, the knee socks are also awesome.... erm... is it too much to ask for a holey version of both the socks and the fishnets?? Amazing post. Thank you Sonia. I can't wait to make that apron checks fit on a short skirt for my teen paras.
