We’ve been working hard on adding new content for the Paramaker to create unique looks and new Parafolks. This time, we wanted to showcase a new clothing collection created by Sonia, inspired by the 70s, and some outfits designed for the Elders.
All the content showcased in this post will be available for every Parafolks’ life stages except Babies and Toddlers. As usual, we will not apply any gender or body-type restrictions ✨

A New Jumpsuit and a New Fancy Dress Overcoat!
This beautiful Parafolk always loved to be elegant and hasn’t lost her love for fashion when growing older. With this style, she could be the director of an art gallery or a famous architect.

You will be able to personalize how your Parafolks grow old. Maybe you want them to be heavily wrinkled, maybe you’d prefer to remove any sign of old age? It’s up to you! Let’s take a closer look at the facial features, shall we?

Now, let me talk to you more about the outfits!
This jumpsuit is available with patterns, can be layered with a selection of tops, the neckline and belt can be recolored. I’m sure Harry Styles would love to wear this one!
Also available with patterns, this dress overcoat doesn’t allow layering but you can change the color of the dress peeking under it.
A New Crop Top, a 70’s Pattern, a New Long Flowy Skirt and a New Adaptive Dress
Can you tell that this Parafolk LOVES flowers? She even gets to showcase our new 70s-inspired pattern created by Sonia! I imagined her going to music festivals and giving flower crowns and friendship bracelets to everyone, she’s definitely a sweetheart!

You know the drill, let’s talk outfits!
Both the crop top and the flowy shirts are available with and without patterns. You will also be able to use the crop top with the layering system!
The adaptive dress is great for elders and kids; you can recolor the collar and wear it with or without patterns.
New Bell Bottom Jeans, New Hair Style, and New Swim Shorts!
We love short kings and I wanted to create a very stylish one! This Parafolk could be a musician, maybe a singer? He was very proud of his beautiful hair and had a rough time losing them while growing older. Thankfully, he can always count on his good old hat to cover up what is missing.

A new shoulder-length wavy hairstyle!
Those bell-bottom jeans are amazing with patterns too. Should we add a high-waisted version??
New swim shorts are available in two lengths, with or without a pattern, with the laces recolorable!
Bonus Content!
Surely it must be over right? So much has already been showcased, we couldn’t possibly have more content! Well, we do.
This one I’ve designed myself, in order to create a new version of Maggie’s iconic look from her first reveal back in 2020!
Maggie is wearing a sundress with a flowy skirt and off-the-shoulder sleeves. This dress will also be able to have patterns.
We can’t wait to see the Parafolks you’re gonna create with all this new content.

Not costumes for parties or Halloween, but a character that simply likes to dress like this every day. Like, 19th century, 18th century, medieval... Maybe just a limited selection, only for a bit of fun.

I think Maggie's dress looks a bit bottom heavy and I'm not sure that was the intention with how it widens and then narrows again. For the next Paramaker showcase I'd like to see some athletic/loungewear like hoodies, sweatpants, loose tanktops, casual shorts. You know, a couple of basic essentials

And when we can colour and change patterns, this will just make the options seem endless, particularly after mods start populating the game. Awesome job! PS: The roadmap doesn't appear to be changing recently. I know you're working on stuff, but what you're working on right now isn't reflected in the roadmap?

But we are already getting a lot! 😊

I'm not trying to make you copy another game all the time, but I always enjoyed it that behavior in Elder characters. Or maybe it's not a great idea; depends on how they feel about aging haha. 😅

The wrinkle detailing is so impressive - the wrinkles on the neck and how their face changes slightly but it's still the same sim. Especially the jaw line on the male sim it's super realistic. The outfits are super cute. Keep up the amazing work guys! Love it and so excited!!

I think those bell bottoms should also come in a high waisted version! The little details that you guys touch on really makes your game stand out from others in this same genre, and you guys have been making excellent progress!!! 2023-10-27 14:55:08 +0000 UTCDon't get me wrong, clothes are nice, but seeing the care put into creating elders really pleases me. In That Other Game™, and in particular the 4th opus, I find them a terribly underrated lifestage, and have always regretted that no gameplay was really attached to them ; you haven't discussed age-specific gameplay yet so obviously this is not the main point here, but that just goes to show how much I love elderly people. It's certainly cultural (we collectively praise youth), but a life simulation certainly isn't complete without them ; other games treat them as a leftover lifestage, and I'm very pleased with how they look here, at the very least. It's great to see all the details in their skin. The new wrinkles are really cool, of course. But in general the aging features are fantastic to see upclose with different models. You can see the jawline sagging a little bit, which is really nice. Are there wrinkles/folds we can customize elsewhere on the body ? Or is it related to their weight, maybe ? I'm asking because their necks don't seem to look exactly the same. Bell Bottoms Musician certainly has more of a turkey neck, it's awesome to see variations like this !

2023-10-27 14:42:17 +0000 UTCMight be. I personally don't like it but it has made me think about something, para with clothes that don't fit perfectly. In real life people wear clothes that are too big or too small all the time. It would be cool if there was some way to represent that in game.

It would also be fun to se some more historical fashion as that is also something that interest me. Fashion history is just really fun!
