And one benefit Naruto had that Gaara didn't was that, in the Leaf Village the leaders had the sense of mind to keep the fact that Naruto had the Nine-Tails inside him a secret from the kids and most of the others in the village. With Gaara, everyone knew the One-Tailed Raccoon was inside of him, and they all treated him horribly for that. Also like the Joker reference. There's quite a bit of media and "critics" that are taking shots at that movie for being racist or sexist or other dumb crap. All of them show they completely missed the point, but you understood the point completely. Traumatizing events can have a heavy toll on someone's mental health, and if someone already has mental problems, adding trauma on top can tip them right over the edge.

First when little Gaara was clutching his heart telling Yashamaru that he wasn't bleeding but that he was in pain, and then when I saw the bandaged finger of the attacker he crushed and saw it was Yashamaru. That hit me hard. That's probably the greatest pain anyone can ever feel. The only more severe thing you can experience yourself is death, but that doesn't have any pain afterwards. Gaara's been living with that pain for years. He can't understand friendship or love. His only experience with it is fear, betrayal, and anger. I might say that the circumstances around Gaara's past are sadder than Sasuke's, but the outcome is happier because he does still have siblings that love him. While Sasuke has friends, he can never have his family back. And you know, for as little as Sakura's done, I gotta give her props for stuff like this. Sure Gaara curb-stomped her in one move, but she threw herself in front of Gaara to protect Sasuke, knowing she might die. Like I said, she can be overall annoying, but she has quite a few heart of gold moments too. And man, Hiruzen and Orochimaru be playing the longest and most intense game of tug-of-war ever lol. How many episodes have they been at it? 3 or 4 so far? Bruh xD
