Yeah there's also a different type of animation in Naruto 133 and shippuden 26, 35, 42. 82, 85, 120, 123, 131, 137, 143, 166, 167...., 209, 219, 234, and a bit more after that you haven't got to yet

This isn't a story spoiler to say that later on in Shippuden, the animation can get REALLY bad, and while at times it can also be ok, it overall seems like the animators forgot about what shadowing is and also what close-up detailed shots for tension/atmosphere is. Well, that last gripe could just be me personally, but like the Zabuza fight had moments where the fight would slow down and focus on someone's eyes for a while or something. I don't remember seeing much of that animation style later. Take that with a grain of salt because I could have fuzzy memory. None of it has to do with the story. Just something to be prepared for with the animation quality. Early Shippuden is still pretty crisp, and I'd say the first half overall is fine animation. They may have also improved it with the version you're watching, since they have altered dialogue too xP Now as for discrepancy and hyperbole that I mentioned before, there's one in this episode, when the ANBU said that Hiruzen had "mastered every Jutsu in the Leaf Village". That's a flat out false statement because he can't use things like Sharingan techniques or the Hyuuga's unique techniques either. It's more that he just knows A LOT of techniques to where he got that reputation. And man! Imagine what the 1st Hokage and 2nd Hokage would be like if they were at full power! Since you're watching the subs now, you probably also know this, but the Hidden Leaf Village is called Konoha, so Konohamaru's name has even more meaning to it. He was named after the village. As as you've also seen by now, Orochimaru forbidden technique is REALLY messed up. Last thing I wanna say is that the ANBU really did wanna help Hiruzen, but the barrier was impenetrable. You'd expect ninja of their level to be able to dispel it, but the point was that Orochimaru's techniques are just that strong. Though I'm surprised they weren't at least LOOKING for a way to get past the barrier :|
