XP swirls partB (VIDEO TUTORIAL)

Hey bud, well that needs 4 times the particles we have hehe. Would be almost impossible i think in c4d. There is an entagma tutorial that shows this effect with just a single slice of particles. C4d cannot do that atm.

Hello Thanos! Thanks for the course man! I'm trying to achieve a visual of a liquid around here in this exercise, without these empty (black) spaces where the ball goes through. A more uniform look and less like small particles. Any tips on how to achieve this?

Without much experience in RS, I think if you use distance travel in xp settings, RS will pick that up with color user data.

Thanos Kagkalos

anyone knows how to achieve the colors in redshift? I only managed to separate the colors and assign new ones with color user data but had no luck finding that option to assign it to distance travelled.

Pedro

The step of creating mask was brilliant tip! Great tutorial

Nikhil Shahapurkar

Thanos Kagkalos

Got it. You can try using vdb volumes and meshing but then somehow u need to pass the color data (as vertex map?) to the vdb. Im not sure how this is done, but if ur beginner to xp, it might be tricky for u to figure out. Short answer, not sure if there is a "quick" way to do so :)

Thanos Kagkalos

I’ll keep playing with it!

Jesse

Maybe? I don’t know how to explain, sorry I’m a beginner with XP. I would like to fill all those gaps and make it look more filled without those empty gaps.

Jesse

Hello, not sure what u mean about fixing it. Like having a more "unified" look instead of grains?

Thanos Kagkalos

Hey man! Is there a quick way at the end to fix that weird texture to make it look more like a liquid?

Jesse

thank you so much, looking forward to see more xp tutorials :)
