Amazon explorations & XParticles (VIDEO TUTORIAL)

Hello and have a good month,

Continuing with this exploration of our Amazon styleframes. I think the other cases that are not on this tutorial are more straight forward, so i tried to breakup what i thought would be more useful.

Let me know in the comments below what u think :)

Hey, behaviour should be the same. Please follow tutorial step by step or download project files.

Hi Thanos, facing a problem with the newer version of XP, won't act as per your tutorial, and in the flowfield, the default setting is random. please help

rahul patil

These are genuinely helping me so much! Thank you!

Loshak3D

This is so cool! Does anyone know what is the equivalent of the Octane "W Coordinate" node for the spline in Redshift?

Andrea

Heya, yea its also dependant on poly count. So retopology is ur friend here. Try lower poly counts and increase as u go and u ll find the proper balance!

Hi! Was wondering if you have tried the xpFlowField effect on more complex objects? I was trying to achieve the same look as your Lighting bolt logo on a model of a shoe, but have found that with more geo it acts very different. Any suggestions? I have tried to make a low poly object in the shape of the shoe and use that for the Surface Tangent. It kind of worked... Thank you!

Heya, no nothing's changed. If everything is set correctly, maybe u should just manually re setup the emission. Its working here.

Thanos Kagkalos

Hi Thanos, really love the tut but I've a little problem that i can't solve. Probably I ve missed somenthing! When I try to control the emitter from texture nothing happend, the particles keep spinning as if I hadn't set "texture" from "edit form", maybe something has changed in the new version of XP?

Sandro Pivetta

hahaah thanks a lot mate! I dont remember what stupid things i said to this one :) But i keep those coming

Thanos Kagkalos

Two things: 1. Your tutorials are awesome! 2. You're a comic genius!

Thanks bud! And with new xp build a lot more options and flexibility, will do more tuts with that soon :)

Thanos Kagkalos

Wow man! This is much nicer than the usual follow surface modifier. Really cool look!

David Ariew

Great Breakdown & cool tips :-)

Thibault Millienne

Thanks bud! Not really to be honest, are just periods that suck me in and others that i dont touch em at all for months :)

Thanos Kagkalos

Cool stuff and thanks for sharing!!! You really must play a lot with x-particles to figure out all these little hacks ;)
