New Year, New Me! 2025 Newsletter + Rewards

Happy New Year, everyone!

Okay, so we've done it! I started in 2017 and am still here in 2025. I've officially outlasted almost every Netflix show in terms of longevity, as well as the average marriage! (Seriously, folks, 7-8 years)

Unlike my monthly updates, you should ABSOLUTELY pay close attention to some of the stuff in here. Why? Because my Patreon is changing soon.

Important Patreon Info

Now, before you shoot the messenger, let's start with the WHY?  portion of this segment. Simply put, I'm being forced to. Patreon used to have two models of patronage: Pay per Creation (what I use now) and Monthly Subscription.

I've always used PPC to charge you all for official chapters I post. I like this method because 1) it keeps me from slacking and 2) you are only paying when I'm creating.

Now, Patreon has treated the monthly sub model like the youngest child in a multi-generational family by showering it with gifts. I have been asked numerous times to join the monthly sub-train and enjoy all the bounty that us old Pay Per Create folks simply cannot enjoy. In fact, I am grand-fathered in, new accounts can't even do Pay per Creation.

Well, anyway, Apple, who is a small mom-and-pop organization, has decided that they want more money and Patreon can't make PPC work on their app, so I've been given a deadline to convert or it will be done for me. No amount of bitching or organizing will fix this, my fate is officially sealed.

(Note: if you use the app and sub to a creator using your iPhone, Apple keeps 40% of your pledge before the creator/Patreon split it, just unsub on the app and re-sub from a web browser to bypass it)

Now, for those of you who wonder why this is a big deal for me, you all have subscribed based on how many things I write per month. With the monthly sub model, you pay one amount and that is it. I usually post two chapters per month. Based on a rough analysis, that means my Patreon income will be cut in half when I make the transition. I'm letting you know now that I will be switching to the Monthly Model in July so that you can alter your current pledge after it happens to compensate (if you want to, anyway).

Being on the subscription model means I will have different options on the back end that I'm not sure what to do with yet. I'll keep you posted as the year progresses. Okay, onto the other interesting stuff!

Radley's Island for Horny Monsters

This book will be releasing soon. The cover artist (same person who did Halls of Magic) is currently working on the artwork, which I will share here once finished. This will also start recording soon, so hopefully the audiobook is out by summertime.

Dead and Horny 2

After some dead ends with other artists, I will be making a temporary cover for this and also releasing it soon. You all don't realize how hard finding a good and reliable artist is anymore. One of the other authors I know is getting phenomenal artwork done but refuses to share their identity with anyone for fear of that artist getting booked months out in advance, which would slow their own production. That's legit how bad things have gotten. I booked the Island art back in November and got lucky with a two month wait!

Collabs!

Halls 3 is officially under way and I will also start on Master Class 6 next month. I still occasionally get disgruntled readers who only want me to focus on HFHM stuff, but I started the collab train to future proof my income in case something happened to Patreon (which it did).

I am also under negotiations with at least one more author for later this year, so am making efforts to expand. Nothing will happen to Horny Monsters, but I need to be constantly challenging myself or I will never grow and improve. Naturally, the best course of action is to make a disaster out of my social life by booking myself into obscurity.

Physical Copies!

We ordered a bunch of books to sell on WetLeafPress.com and sold out of books 1-3 the fastest. I've been informed that more of those have been ordered, so those will go up on the website once we have them. With shipping costs always climbing higher, we may need to start charging more later this year, but that's a problem for Hugh, lol

This process is not automated, so if you think I missed you, comment below. Messaging me triples the time it takes to figure out if I missed you and I might not see it for weeks.
