Reese murmurs that observation around the straw he's lightly biting. His glass of Mrs. Dorran's homemade lemonade has been entirely drained, only leaving behind tartly sweet droplets in the plastic tube. You take pity on him, offering him the remainder of what's in the chilled pitcher you brought back from the B&B. His eyes widen following your gesture before he's smiling gratefully at you, practically cradling the cup. This is why you took a much needed break.
"As I was saying, you must truly adore Silas and his friendship," he starts again after a refreshing swig of lemonade. "Because I can quite literally feel my face melting off."
"How much sunscreen did you apply?" you ask.

The MC has the most solid chance of earning a rare Verner blush, but ugh, yes! I did grin while reading how you can see this dynamic fitting Naia; particularly, what you said about her instinct to take more charge when R might be feeling under the weather/injured. It's an interesting detail that can also be reflected by R; you'll notice how even the MC in this writing was surprised that R let their usual tussle come to an end. R's typical dominance waning due to both the heat/long hours and showing trust to the MC was fun to explore, although they still left some marks on the MC. 😏 I'm sure R would share their sunscreen with Naia. She sounds striking! 🥰

Very beautifully written, R is once again such a seductive little thing 💞 This MC has so much willpower though, I'd have already melted into a puddle and not because of the weather. Also love how bashful he can get when something unintentionally 'not Verner like' happens to him, like the malfunctioning spray paint part, you dont have to appear perfect at every given moment R I promise, every MC will still love you 🥰. It's very adorable and I love this gap moe that he has.

2023-08-22 19:27:10 +0000 UTCWelp, I need a cold shower now! That was 𝘢𝘸𝘦𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦. Very hot, and I love the dynamic between the MC and Reese. It actually fit Naia pretty damned well, too. She's not normally the "take control" type (at least, not with Reese), but if he was overheated (or injured or sick in the slightest), she'd totally behave this way. Of course, she'd look like a lobster herself (with naturally deep red hair and porcelain complexion, the sun is her enemy!), but she wouldn't worry about that.
