2020-02-23 08:52:53 +0000 UTCI know that you had to cringe hard on the singing parts and I get it, I cringed too when I saw that first, but keep in mind that she is an english speaking person only, from the US i believe, that's why they had to find an english person for the singing part and then have her being voiced by a Japanese VA, even tho she was speaking english the whole time in the story, supposedly. Each member from that crew on the ISS was from a different country, like Senku's dad had a Japanese flag on his suite when they entered the space station first, the other blond dude (Shamil) had a Russian flag, etc. They were trying to recreate (kind of) the real ISS in our world, how it has different crew members from many countries around the world.
