💡 About the Traits + Real-World Tie-Ins

🔐 DL Phase Trait

“He said he wasn’t into that… until he was.”

This trait is given to male Sims who engage in a Down-Low Agreement — a mutual decision made between two male Sims to keep their romantic/sexual relationship secret and unspoken.

Once this interaction is complete, both Sims receive the DL Phase trait and unlock a custom set of social interactions, emotions, and behaviors:

• Public avoidance

• Conflicted attraction

• Guilt, obsession, denial, and emotional highs/lows

• A complex mix of autonomy and vulnerability

🧠 Real-world reflection:
This trait was created to reflect the emotional and social reality of many men who live in secrecy due to fear of rejection, shame, cultural pressure, or identity confusion. It adds empathy and edge to storytelling while opening the door for deep, dramatic arcs that feel raw and grounded.

💍 Suspicious Wife Trait

“She ain’t crazy. She’s aware.”

This trait becomes available automatically to any female Sim in a romantic relationship (via girlfriend, spouse, or lovers RelBit) with a male Sim who is in a DL Phase.

She gets exclusive intuition-based social interactions, often emotionally sharp or passive-aggressive:

• Call out changes in energy

• Smell him after work

• Accuse without proof

• Read between the lines

It also gives her emotional swings, intuitive suspicion, and autonomous behavior like pacing, side-eyes, or "let me ask you something" vibes when things feel off.

🧠 Real-world reflection:
Inspired by stories of women who feel something shifting in their partner’s behavior but don’t yet have “proof,” this trait allows players to explore the emotional complexity of betrayal, confusion, and inner conflict. It reflects the often invisible labor of picking up pieces from unspoken truths.
