What I'm working on and what's next

Hi all!  Nugg the artist just completed Mia in cat form.  He also completed sheer clothing and made a nude version of her.  The most exciting thing is that each body part is in its own layer.  That means that I can move each piece separately and create character animations for the game using these techniques: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXIuizGzY2A

Right now what I'm working on is this concept of "in-game maintenance."  Once in a while, your hose might spring a leak, the food trough might become empty, or the women's bedding might need to be replaced.  If you fail to do one of these tasks, the next three actions you take will give you a portion of the rewards you'd normally get from satisfying the character's needs.

This "in-game maintenance" is highly related to a future concept of upgrading your farm.  I foresee being able to buy milking machines, etc. that will unlock other character upgrades and lewd scenes.  

So that's future work and present, respectively.  Here's what I've already completed since my last update:

- Keep track of how many needs have been satisfied for a character throughout the game

- Refactor gameStats to be calculated in its own, new game object

- Each upgrade should give you XP. Total XP per character should be stored

- XP can be translated into a level. On the upgrade page, it should say the character's level

- Show a progress bar for next level

- Show XP until next level on the upgrade screen

- Show progress bars on upgrade screen

- When you level, there's some effect on the woman

- When you gain XP, there's some effect on the woman

- When you level, it says so when the day ends

- You show rewards when you level up and it tells you about them in the on the level finished dialog

- Bug: When a character has two particle effects, the particle effects stop showing for xp and money. It resets in the next level

- Bug: When you're on the last woman to be served, a new need can still pop up for someone else

- You actually receive the rewards it shows you when the level ends

- Use new Jessie art

- Use a consistent organization scheme for the character sprites

- Upgrades on the upgrade page tell you how much XP you get

- Each character has their own type of skill point

- You can see the character's skill points on their upgrade page

- Refactor womanData to contain all the information necessary to know what kind of rewards she gets. That way, there's no need for X different reward templates

- Upgrade text should be in singular or plural at appropriate times

- Upgrades should tell you the skill point cost

- You have to buy upgrades with skill points (and funds)

- Each upgrade should give more XP than the last

- Anonymously record the last game level players got to so I can tell if changes make the game more or less fun

- Rename/split RandomWrapper to have a better name

- Use less annoying sounds in general

- Improvements on the effect of gaining XP / money

- Use Text Mesh Pro

- Bug: Active need text can be cut off

- Bug: Olivia's nail keypresses has so many keys it visually goes off the screen

- Hair brushing is a bit too easy

- The upgrades page should say somewhere when mortgage is due so that people don't overspend the day before

- Kira no longer eats hay because she's a pig girl, not a hucow.

- Use skill point sprites in text

- Show the number of skill points each character has before they go to the character's upgrade page

- Increase need countdown to closely match other games

- Rename need timer to need distributor

- There should be a "needy hour" where the women want their needs addressed faster.

- Levels have a time duration before the end, not a "x number of needs before the end".

- Announce "Urge Upsurge"

- Play a sound when Urge Upsurge starts

- Announce when "Urge Upsurge" ends

- There is a maintenance shed that gives you chores to work on while you're playing

- The shed is always at the far right of the screen.

- You should start with multiple maintenance needs

- Have a "shed" on the side for equipment maintenance

- Funds should be calculated in the StatsCalculator
