Yeah it never seems right but yeah the first step is realizing no that’s not “the norm” (dun dun duuuuuuun) and then the first step that worked for me was not looking at it directly in the face but keeping in my peripheral and then looking for the joy in small things and tiny details until it’s grip loosened enough to go on. I know most people go after the whole ‘jUst Be pOsITiVe’ angle not realizing that the nature of depression makes that part literally impossible which makes the first part especially important. But this is just what works for me and I can guarantee no results but if it helps just one other person that makes this absolutely worth it.

The first step to living with mental illness is realizing things aren't right. You'll be able to live with it now that you understand stand it and honestly that's a huge step in the right direction
