With the release of Visions of Vetrovia this month, the game developers decided to remove the in-game browser, at least for now. You could argue that it's not much of a loss, since the browser client was so outdated and miserable that it was next to useless anyway.
But the game and DarqUI had both relied on the browser to render Help pages internally, and it did a reasonably good job with that. You may have noticed lately that opening the Help window now produces unpleasant pop-ups instead of offering any actual help.
Because DarqUI does have a small learning curve in a couple of places, a good bit of useful guidance has been compiled over time. And even though videos and info-posts on this Patreon site are perhaps easier to digest than dry old text files, there is still a place for context-sensitive help within the game and in the utility.
The Fix
DarqUI Help has been retrofitted to a format that doesn't require the browser to display help files. All topics are once again available to peruse from the index tree, or you can get specific help on whatever component is currently being configured (click the purple [?] at the top of the Window Manager.)
No more annoying pop-ups when you open Help, and there are also new Large and X-Large choices with appropriate font sizes (check out the comparison image above.)
The new Help system is being offered to all players who use DarqUI. If you want to open all those EQ2U/Wikia/etc links sprinkled throughout the UI, the URL Helper is good for that. Take a look at this video or text for a quick refresher.
