I just thought it'd fit the theme if the two crazies behind this whole business ended up in dolls of theirs from the movies. Having it actually be them would have just been a bigger mess. Since it'd mean more horror movie characters are wandering around in that world. That world is messed up enough as is to not have more crazies in it that just won't stay dead.
