The sale of my previous place has cleared. I'm home. I'm finally no longer in the limbo between places. Owner of none, but keeper of two.
I'm home.
My cozy space. Apartment, with fireplace. I hope my old home's soul is kept and pervades the new homes going up in it's place. The house earned it's rest. It held out long enough, and finally can be renewed. While I will miss much of that place, I'm finally no longer tied to having to keep it running when it clearly wanted the rest.
I'm going to take tonight and the weekend off. I'm going to finally relax, celebrate, sink into this new space and revel in it like I've dreamed of doing for over a month now. And I so look forward to starting work on Monday without any burden of waiting. I simply work. I make coffee, I eat my cereal with oat milk, and I go to work like a normal person again.
I'm finally. finally home.

Glad to hear it man, the feeling of release must be powerful. That must be like the day my brother and I paid off the mortgage. We didn't burn it; we just... racked back and enjoyed the freedom.
