Historia and Erwin's stories are so tragic, especially Historia, they really don't shy away from extremely difficult topics, huh?
This week once I am done with editing I will upload an early access to the next LoL dive video - in fact it's a reaction to an entire set of videos about the Ruination, playlist as always created by Ingo Fantastic stuff.

Last episode Sannes (The guy from the interior police that Hange and Levi tortured) said that he had to "take care" of some people and mentioned 3 examples: 1. "A teacher too smart for their own good." That was Erwin's dad as revealed in this episode. 2. "A stupid couple who tried to fly." Those were Armin parents. He mentions in episode 1x01 that his parents wanted to use a hot air balloon to explore the world before dying in mysterious circumstances. 3. "A whore from some ranch in the sticks." That was Historia's mom and we could see Historia briefly in that flashback, as you pointed out during the episode. Historia's backstory is really tragic and learning that she was pretty much playing a character when pretending to be Christa Lenz is really sad. Ymir, however, was able to see through the facade and see Historia for who she really was. That's why she kept challenging Historia to pursue her own path and not just yield to other people's wishes.
