Heads up on another Patreon Change

Just wanted to keep people in the loop that there will be (another) change that Patreon is putting forth on November 7th allowing creators to post updates based on 'dollar amount' totals instead of tiers.

While I can see a use for such fine controls for some creators, this actually just makes a bit of work for me (and you!  more on that in a moment).  I'm always a bit twitchy when Patreon starts messing around with pay and tier structures, as some past decisions they've made backfired fairly spectacularly.

However, this doesn't seem to affect most people who have pledged, and it doesn't seem to be anything except a change away from 'tiers' to a 'dollar amount pledged'.  I won't be changing anything.  People who have pledged $1 will still get the higher res 150dpi images/comics, $5 and up will get 300dpi images/comics, and $10 and up will still get 300dpi images/comics and at least one guaranteed sketch, plus another when the list 'renews'.

Who this affects:  This will affect folks who have decided to generously give more than a 'tier' asks for.  An example is someone giving $15 for the $10 tier.  This will also affect anyone who has selected 'no reward' on their pledge

What to do:  I'm only going by what I'm told in the e-mail from Patreon, which is those folks will have to sign up for the tier they want (again) at  https://patreon.com/pledges  To make sure they're getting access to what they already are.

I'm not sure if this has already had a 'soft launch' or not.  I only know its something going into effect on the 7th of next month.  It doesn't seem to be too much a pain in the rear, but if something doesn't work out right please let me know!  If I can't find the answer I can directly tap someone on the help staff to figure it out (they seem to reply pretty quick to creators).

Just wanted to let folks know, and I'm hoping there won't be too much faffling around.  I'm not sure what I need to do on my end, or if I need to re-categorize what amount goes into what tier again.  I prefer just to have blocks people sign up for than having to play around with having to click/list multiple amounts to receive things.  But we'll see what the final update of this new system looks like.

I personally wish they would add a better function for cataloging art from past months in a more accessible way instead of continuing to put fingers in the pay structure.
