Sketches, some updates

Hey all,

Hope folks in the U.S. had a good fourth.  Just sending along a rough sketch of one of the things I'm working on.

I'm struggling a bit with art this last week.  A mix of a 'block' and just not being able to get things looking right.  Even so, I'm still going to be posting rough sketches mixed in with full artwork and comic pages.  The roughs will simply be 'in stream' posts at lower resolution since they aren't completed.  Forgive how scribbly some of them look.  I work from a fairly tangled mass of scribbles and refine from there.

The above image is of 'Zaviera' from the Tides comic.  She's a gnoll, through and through, a bit haughty, sarcastic, and when she needs to be: armed with 'Papa' her machete.

Speaking of sketches, the random-picked sketch for people at the $10 level will resume this month on the 15th.  The full list was worked through, so this will be round two!  

Upcoming things

Tides - The comic is going under full steam.  I've had to delay in just churning pages out however to actually do some model sheets (like the one above) since some of the characters haven't been sketched out at all yet, and I tend to like having some reference to go on for major characters in a story.

Along with these reference sheets will be a little bit of 'about the character' stuff as well for those interested.  The next page of the comic is largely in silhouette so it will very likely be fully finished quickly this month, the page after that features a couple new faces though.

Image subjects - I've been wavering back and forth to if I want to include slightly more 'adult-ish' images through this medium.  I don't often do images in that range but a few do exist.  They aren't terribly graphic or anything as I'm simply not as interested in the subject matter, but maybe something in the pinup+ scope, if that makes any sense.

They would be clearly and fully marked as NSFW, as always, and right now it's just my pondering if it's something I want to put out there.  

Writing - I may be trying my hand at writing out little 'travelogue' things about some people/character/areas of the world.  These would usually be posted with some images as well since I'm more a visual person than literal.  I'm not sure if this would be of much interest to most folks, so I'm going to ensure it's something that won't eat into art-time, and will be a thing I do in my free time.
