June Update - Hardware updates and all that Jazz.

Hey all,

I just wanted to send along a short update noting that I'm going to be upgrading to a Wacom tablet in the very near future.  This is largely due to my current hardware having extremely 'picky' drivers that are made by a third party who rarely updates them.  As such, they don't work reliably with Windows 10 at all (They barely did with 7)  I've had to use several modifications and even keep certain software off of my current work machine due to the strangely paranoid nature of the Yiynova UCLogic drivers, and have decided that losing a few days to babysitting the tablet every month was becoming too much of a hassle for what it was worth.

With that said the delays that I've had in the past will be.. well, a thing of the past, at least in regards to hardware and the ability to get work done.  Wacom are pricey but they also update drivers frequently and tend to work with all paint programs right out of the box (In fact, I can't think of one they don't support).  In the long run, as this is essentially becoming less a secondary job, and more a primary focus, I think this is the better decision.

I did want to take the opportunity to thank you all.  It was because of your generosity and amazing help over the last many months that I was even able to *think* about going with a higher end Wacom tablet.  You've helped me in ways that I can't really put into words, not only financially but with moral support and encouragement to keep creating.  I'm trying to think of a special something to give back to you all as a way of saying thank you, I just hope that over the months ahead I can provide much more artwork.

Sketches will start again next month as well!  This month will be largely spent working on the comic to get a flurry of pages done and getting used to the new hardware.
