On a personal note I would love to see your take on the steampunk Genre thgere isn't much out there as is and with the style you bring to your sci-fi stuff I can't see it being anything but good.

Big Kris Bee

Sisters of eternal mercy.....

Kady

I support the dwarves!

David Núñez

coming today!

Raging Heroes

Any July Previews?

Jon Letham

If they went by the Disney movie sure. But maybe the books the literal movie is based on might be public domain now, and it's all based on Welsh mythology so it wouldn't need to get one to be honest.

Oz Wainerdi

I may be alone, but I'd love to see some dwarves as part of a release

The Threads team

pretty sure they'd have to get a license

The Threads team

I would like to see a superhero release sometime in the future.

Ossian

Yea this is my first month and I got these because they look like they will mix with the new shadows of brimstone viking set cmoing soon.

Deven Smith

Yea weird west was the one I was most excited for.

Deven Smith

" It is not like it is hard to set up a second / third fourth Patreon which is then dedicated to the themes" And also produce content for it (them)?

eyflfla

Man would I love a Dark Cauldron set by yall. Hero, princess, fae folk, bard, familiar, army of undead, wyvern, a pig, three witches, bandit army, lil goblin guy, and holy crap I'd love to see yalls take on a horned king

Oz Wainerdi

I am down for whatever, as long as I can work it into a wargame, like Ninth Age, Kings of War, Grimdark Future, etc.

Jesse White

I understand. Until i have a better solution, please be assured that you can always contact us via private message and Ioana will give you a private link to re-download what you may have lost access to.

Raging Heroes

Sadly, yes. I still keep hoping for something more in the style of the resin models - I bought a couple of those too, but they would need some scaling to look good with my other minis, so I thought it would be epic to have STls that can be scaled from the same artists. Well. The first months were not quite that, but close. But I have to be honest and say that the last couple of months have put me off. The vikings are too cartoony and the anatomy of some is sketchy. And last month, we had models that were just left broken because apparently the artists were already all over the next month or whatever. I'll probably give it a couple months more to see whether anything changes, but seriously, cartoony style plus model previews spiced up with rendering are not really what I'm excited about

virtualmorrigan

you should break off a new team and do terrain. It is very clear at this point that you can make amazing terrain centerpieces, or just have it as an addon tier. Having dark elf structures would be perfecto.

Ronan Abbott

I'm glad to hear that Dark Elves are coming back. It's one of my favourite themes in general. Personally I hope for more lust elves/yuan-ti/snake vibes and some NSFW option this time, but I'll probably be glad with everything you'll deliver (by the way, Medusa/Snake-woman could be fun theme in general... ;) ). I'm not that big on Sci-Fi but I would welcome some Infinity/Mass Effect styled miniatures with open arms, so I'm looking forward to sci-fi update :) Only thing I'm not so stoked about is that Dungeons & Dragons got so high. There is TONS of D&D Patreons and tons of miniature choices for it, so I would rather see more original or less explored themes than another D&D stereotypes Patreon. As for future themes and releases, thought that books may be great inspiration for next themes. I would love to see your take miniatures inspired by Lord of the Rings, Conan, Solomon Kane etc.

Pawel

My #1 request is having past collections added to backers' MMF library. I've already lost my Spider Goddess models, and I would love the peace of mind of knowing that I can redownload your offerings.

Andrew Franco

Ohmygod! Buck Rogers! Yes, of course! Retro rockets and rayguns. I can just imagine, the Rocket Ranger Core, 50s style robots, invading space aliens, and maybe a rocketship or flying saucer! So cool. The Raging Heroes team would do a great job with this.

Adam A Nerd

Dark Elves would be cool, but I was really hoping to see sci-fi coming up stronger. Would be awesome to see your take on STALKER/Roadside Picnic style themes, or even 1950s pulp sci-fi (Buck Rogers!)...

Joshua Love

Thanks for the head ups. Keep doing what you're doing : if you're not already rocking, then you're getting there ! ;) On a site note, I believed once from RaginHeroes I understood you were talking about a game set in the Elfes/Nains/Mages/Orcs&Goblins comics from Soleil. Have I dreamt it ? Did it go on hold ? Has it been abandonned ? Feel free to not answer iif you feel the question is innapropriate : I won't resent it ;) Concerning the subject of the poll, I'm sorry to see Thieves and Cyberpunk making the tail but I'm sure they'll come around eventually... Especially since Thieves can range from various settings, as you said, be it Assassin's Creed, Conan, Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser, Nightprowler (well... the last one will be tough for non-french people to know... but since it is already a not too bad hodge podge of DnD + the previously named inspirations... I feel it would fit right there... ;) ) Anyway I'll be happy to get some knights, some dark elves (since I'm a big fan of the TGG2's) so I'm sure you're doing what's best. Keep going strong, and all the best !

Luc Gadioux

I wasn't on board with the Fantasy Western Idea, and I have to say, when it is themed around Zombies then definitely not. I'm so fed up with Zombies. It would be something different with a Victorian or Steampunk theme, paired with HP Lovecraft Cosmic Horrors.

Fimb ul Kron

Thank you for sharing the results. I was one that picked do whatever you want. But I would be a fan of the Victorian steam punk and clock work gear art, like a clock tower and Village. Not sure it would fit in a fantasy western (I guess I think cowboys and Indians, so I may not know what that means, haha). I would have to say it would be my less favorite. Also, Dark Elves with no spiders, grimdark fantasy dark elves, would be awesome :) Mythology break even though I love them too...

Michelle Oakes

For me i love this Patreon and think there is a good variety but Science Fiction / Cyberpunk all of that is a Huge gaming sub-section and should not just be plucked from the air and one month offered. As with other similar Patreons, there is a marketplace for fantasy / Dnd etc etc but there is also a marketplace for science fiction, cthulhu modern dark gothic etc etc, so having a clear split will get you the exact customers you want for the right major genres. It is not like it is hard to set up a second / third fourth Patreon which is then dedicated to the themes, if you have have a single patreon jumping from themes to themes you of course will never please everyone, two now then you have a clear split and please the SF on one side and the Fantasy on the other. Yes if it is an SF month i would drop out that month as i have never and will never have SF miniatures it is not my thing, but then i have to remember to watch you guys to pick it up the next month.

Raven

I agree, the terrain looks nice but with so many specialist terrain makers around it is not something i like, and i think i have printed only one piece ever as it goes with Apophis. A centrepiece is basically that you may do it once in a lifetime and thats it unless your a wargames club. More and varied miniatures modelled than terrain would be a good move so i agree with Julien.

Raven

+1 to Post-apoc/Necromunda vibe

Scott Evil

I second this suggestion! Eberron Dark Elves are the BEST!

Daniel Richards

Last Sword offers a bunch of .stl already, more to come, holominiatures just started theirs. Just remember some have their own dedicated websites and do not use my mini factory ;)

Jon Letham

When Raging Heroes announced 3d prints I got super excited. But then I saw their proposed models. What a let down. What put them on the map was 'Toughest Girls of the Galaxy'. Which are all girl warhammer stand-ins with action poses. Somehow I don't think Raging Heroes will ever go that route with Heroes Infinite. Instead they seem to like goofy looking D&D inspired models. So in a way, Raging Heroes has 2 distinct styles.

Mark Stevens

Having finally finished printing the massive Zeus model, I completely agree. I'm making a statue out of him. While it will look amazing on the table, I will rarely use it. Not to mention it cost me nearly 2 jars of resin and 3 weeks of printing. Probably won't bother with the 'Centerpiece' models in the future. I'd rather spend the time and resin on more troops.

Mark Stevens

Heroes Infinite need to check out the Lady Mechanika for reference 😀

James Berryman

Sadly I completely missed the survey, else I´d surely have taken it. Though the results are much the same as my answers would´ve been. Thank you for sharing your insights and thought processes with us, it´s really appreciated. As I´ve stated in the past, I´m a big supporter on doing more parts for each theme. I really think that this helps create an awesome world around each of those unique miniatures you´ve been putting out. I´m personally in the camp of loving the Mythology themes. That being said, I also just really like your work, so I´m excited to see what you´ll make of the coming themes. I like that you´re trying to listen to the community to figure out where the interests lie, I hope that you can find a balance with that and pursuing your own creative interests, as I find both equally important. Thank you for all the hard work, you´re really appreciated.

Kristian

This becomes an essay, not intended, my apologies. My biggest message to you is that as an enthusiastic overlord backer with a particular historical interest in Vikings I was shocked by the Viking release, the gods are useless to me because of the silly cartoon style. They simply belong in a Norse version of Jim Carey's The Mask and I have no use for them at all. Likewise troops armed with three swords and a helmet that just smacks them in the face with chainmail. I almost unsubscribed for a month just to send you the message and only chose not to for the terrain which was superb. I'd like to see releases with alternative heads You do dark elves very well indeed so I'd like to see you do more, it's as simple as that. Scifi, I'd like to see robot enemies that aren't human or animal shaped, especially something like those hunters from Matrix. I liked those with the cyberpunk release except for the huge shoulders/backpack thing. Cyberpunk was unpopular because the models weren't very good, especially not for gaming which is the main interest in cyberpunk. Were a cyberpunk release of just great character models trend toward stuff that could be used as proxies for Infinity and the recent rush of skirmish games, It would do very well with gamers and still provide those stunning display painting studies. I signed up because I saw your Demon release - though it was too late to get it. You've offered most of the previous releases I've bought the spiders and cherry picked the rest but you've not offered those and I'm waiting. Obviously I'd like to see you go back to the theme too. It's hard to suggest references without touching IP (as with the Matrix reference above) but I'd like to see horrors reminiscent of Silent Hill and some present day style heroes, cops, criminal gang and elite armed to the teeth special forces as the overlord troops. I'd like to see a whole release based on and expanding your Flesh Eaters models, which have such a great look Scifi, yes I wargame/skirmish a lot, folks are mentioning Firefly, something pitting a crew against the threats out there, models for enemy crews gone feral, some of them subtly mutated, I think you'd handle superbly. Don't skimp on varieties of wild alien creatures to hunt them across ships and wrecked colonies though, you're so good at humanoid monsters, let your imaginations go beyond! Folks would get on board just for more good modular corridor/room terrain that could be used for shipboard or cramped colonies. You do great work and I'm eagerly awaiting the future, just leave the cartooons to Disney, please.

Phil Gee

I agree, I thought of a more steamed-up victorian cityscape setting, not western.

Saundra J

Given that many backers have a liking for particular themes and may un-sub when they see a release that doesn't line up with their favourite army or D&D setting, I believe it's the overall style that can influence backers at large to stay subbed even when a release is foreign to their home field... Archvillain and Artisan's Guild for instance have mastered this strategy very well which basically involves sticking to the artistic style that originally put them on the map, even during times when that artistic style may not line up with real world political climate. We need only ask: what artistic style coincided with the biggest financial rise to Raging Heroes historically before Heroes Infinite existed? - I know some people may not like the answer (whatever it is) but nonetheless it will absolutely help stabilise 'pick and choose' backing in the long term.

Reavernator

Yep, sadly can only join this opinion. Terrain is somewhat okay-ish, but huge monstrosities that don't fit anywhere are... well... never gonna be printed.

Stas

I just looked, I could only find one, and its next months theme. And it aint raging heroes ;p - I've searched numerous times on MMF and been suprised how few high elf alternatives are out there. And now we have need for 'elemental high elves' ;p

Narrator Dave

I'm not a regular backer, I've been backing mini Patreons for over a year now and I normally check out what you guys make, but this was the first month I signed up. While the quality of your work is always high, I usually find the releases to have too many flashy models that look like extra work to print, that I also won't find much use for in my gaming, and won't blend in well with my many other miniatures (mostly from GW). I really liked this month's release because it was mostly cool character sculpts, at the standard size, in more relatable poses, that I could see myself actually printing and using.

Frank Lee

I know I for one will never print those huge pieces. Beautiful, but pointless.

Jon Letham

2 Patreons are doing high elves currently as of this month

Jon Letham

Maybe it will be unpopular but I would prefer less gigantic buildings that I will never be able to put anywhere and more little units. Less time on gigantic (even if its awesome) and more units. I think it seems like you get more bang for the buck that way. Love what you do either way :-) bonne continuation !!!

Julien

I know people love dark elves... but I feel like I see dark elves everywhere, yet high elves are rare as hens teeth.

Narrator Dave

no doubt, and don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to highlight their difficulties, but rather trying to say I appreciate how hard they try to overcome them. genuine respect

ThatRobHuman

Disappointing about Cyberpunk, I feel there's a lot of cool potential in that category people are overlooking. I do hope you are able to slip in new categories every so often - people overwhelmingly vote for things they are already familiar with, but I don't think that means an original category won't also be popular.

Scott Woods

I'm excited about the mystery Halloween set. The secrecy is making me curious and last years circus set was awesome

Ben Newman

Thanks for sharing guys really cool. I have a few of my own thoughts that I would like to share as it seems relevant. Just for intro, I am a wargamer, and do not play any RPGs. In regards to the Dark Elf Spider characters, really cool, but not generally usable in the game systems like AoS/Ninth Age/Kings of War that many people would use them for. I know you want to be unique, but don't go so far as to totally re-invent the wheel that nobody ends up able to use them. As far as science fiction goes, I would be far more into the Post-apoc/Necromunda vibe stuff as that is where my general sci-fi interest lies. Plus it is one of those games where you can use just about anything. Finally, the amount of characters you do is really awesome, but I want to see usable troop units. You know, 10 models with command to build decent sized units with. All these characters need somebody to lead.

Jon Letham

Thank you! I enjoy the transparency and interaction with this Patreon. Raging Heroes design is really why I keep my membership here and you always put out amazing minis! I know you won't be satisfied unless you put your own spin on whatever you do, so I'm sure there will always be something in every release that blows my mind. Cheers!

Scott Evil

Cool! Wizards are coming! Time to buy more gemstones for basing.

eyflfla

Yup! So here's the thing, by and large I will support whatever they do. The only way they could lost me is with a major shift to futuristic stuff (3+ consecutive months). Even then, I'm a loyalist and will hang on for a while. That said, if they ask for input, I'm gonna give it :)

eyflfla

They're getting better. It's almost.... like a world wide pandemic in their inaugural year slowed them down... hmm..

eyflfla

Ooh yeah, if they wanted to milk more money out of me, that'd do it.

eyflfla

I've got a plan to try fluorescent paints masked by a patina of another color. I want to see if I can create a color changing surprise. I'll be sure to post in the discord if it's successful.

eyflfla

I'll second that. A lot of 40k minis look kind of cool and all, but they're really not my thing. The armor is too bulky and gaudy for my tastes.

eyflfla

Thanks for going through all this data and talking us through the data. I am excited about the wizard guild !!!!!!

Greg Hagan

What he said!

Rob Leonard

Thanks for breaking it down for us. Where you're headed sounds great to me. Honestly you could have said "Mushrooms and Bugs for the next 3 months" and I'd still be on board. ;)

Rob Leonard

I think a VS set (2 warbands) would be fun. Brings you closer to a DnD theme but still keeps things similar. Exampals: (Dark elves vs High elves) (Orcs vs Knights) (Goblins vs Dwarfs) (Demons vs Angels)

Michael Peterson

I must admit as someone requesting Steam Punk every month, I really wasn’t associating it with the Wild West when I was saying that, I was more thinking Victoriana cities with crazy inventions

James Berryman

I was going to ask the same question about pre-Patreon sets being offered on MMF as STLs. I could finally use that big discount *wink* (I already own the rest of everything you have on MMF).

Rob Leonard

Addendum: thank you for being transparent about your thoughts. I know y'all are overwhelmed in the Community Relations area and it'd be easy to hunker down and close doors, but instead you still show your thought process, and I appreciate where you're coming from there.

ThatRobHuman

I heard/saw that the Demonicus is coming to MMF in September-ish, potentially? I know that there is a plan to integrate your own site into the works. will that impact the plan to release to MMF? If MMF is still a thing, do you have an idea of when Kingdom of the Deep will make it to MMF for us new folk to buy the backlog?

ThatRobHuman

I definitely second the scorpion theme, not just because I'm terribly arachnophobic and scorpions don't trigger me half as much, but because scorpions are super rad! Emperor Scorpions are jet black… but glow turquoise under a black light!! That'd make for some awesome painting inspiration!

Alayna

I love drow. It would be amazing if you could do drow WITHOUT spiders...that's been so overplayed by every patreon. Wizards of the Coast has released a few new "hidden drow communities." Would be cool to do those! (Have to scroll down a bit) https://dnd.wizards.com/story/legend-of-drizzt

Rae Farley

Dark Elves please ;-) and High Elves pleaseeeeee ;-) Lord Tyrion of Ulthuan on Drake!!!

Davide Bonny

I'm hoping so much that in July there will also be a heavily armored Leonid, in the release... *wink wink* 🤩

Hans-Walter

Any word on the one year anniversary model yet?

Sacha

Hey guys, just want to say that I really enjoy this Patreon, and love all the stuff you make. Yey Drow revisit, and all the stuff you mentioned for the next few months look super exciting. I don't really mind if you D&D even though it does feel like it's moving away from where you started, doing your own themes and models. All I ask for D&D is that you don't stop making the Troops. It's why I jumped to overlord. I think that's why anyone jumped to overlord. As long as the troops are there, then that's all cool.

ThabianGD

Dark elves didn't surprise me. The wonderful Dark Elf kickstarter was what really made me a Raging Heroes fan originally. The whole "spider" aspect of dark elves isn't as interesting to me though, though I don't mind it, but dark elves without as much spider would be better. Oh, Furianns weren't part of the poll either, but I would love more of them! Have you ever considered offering some of your existing sculpts for sale as STL?

Lee Wendel

I am disappointed in the general lack of Weird West enthusiasm. I will point out that I end up liking a lot of stuff I wouldn't have voted for.

CURTIS CRADDOCK

I Really like the path this indicates!!!!

Luis G Rodriguez

If there is a Dark Elves part 2 I REALLY hope that they are scorpion themed and NOT SPIDERS. The scorpion themed dark elves from the D&D world of Eberron are fantastic.

Walter Hosking

Glad to hear that you will do another poll for Sci-Fi as I am not a fan of the 40K style stuff

Ron Purvis

Nothing... i'm retarded
