Yo, the writers of the Boondocks didn't expect Ruckus to be somewhat as popular a character when the show first started. He got sort of a cult following years later so they decided to expand on the character in the later seasons. He's a self-hating mirror to some of us Black folks in America that we love to hate-watch but it also hurts to a certain extent.
