2023-09-23 23:17:40 +0000 UTCThey haven't gotten to the power scaling of OP yet in the live action but the reason Garp can do what he wants is because the strength of an Admiral is comparable to several Warlords, the reason they don't go at eachother is because it would take a lot of resources and both sides would be heavily hit, balance of power is what keeps things at bay in OP. No one gives a shit about "tax payer money", if the Marines didn't have someone like Garp on their side they risk being taken over by pirates, vice versa. As they've already alluded to at the scene with Shanks, he is at least on par with Mihawk in terms of strength, so you can already assume how strong he is as well.

Garp", so it's easy to pinpoint Luffy as a relative when he's constantly spewing his last name around the East Blue. The live action should've probably mentioned Garp's full name at least once (I wish Mihawk would've called him by his full name when he was in Garp's office as a way to tell the audience) because some people were confused about the relationship as to whether he was his adoptive or paternal grandpa but they are related by blood.
