Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!    Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!!

This was a fun episode, Del talking about Boycie and his girl wanting the baby and watching his face light was hilarious. Cracked me up when Boycie said "For Gawd’s sake Marlene. I might be able to con people into buying cars. I might be able to convince ’em that you conceived and gave birth in seven days flat, but how the hell am I gonna persuade ’em that my grandad was Louis Armstrong!!" Lmao !! This was a fun and funny episode.

Thanks for watching folks !!! Hopefully, you all are happy, safe, and healthy !!

As always I would love to read your comments below

Only Fools and Horses: Season 5, Episode 1 From Prussia with Love

Comments

This Season was supposed to be Del’s last. (David Jason planned to leave the show) Rodney and Mickey Pearce were going to be in a spin off called “Hot Rod”. Glad he changed his mind.

Gary Tamblyn

Agreed man the Albert scene was hilarious =] Thanks for the info bud!

After Work Reactions

Well my root canal went alright. Those sedatives are weird huh..

Michael

Vorsprung Durch Technik is a famous slogan for Audi, German car company, it's kinda like in the last episode where they were in the Netherlands and Del saying Ajax to people, a Dutch football team - and also his complete misguidance of the French language. He thinks he can speak German because he saw a German car commercial on TV and can speak Dutch because he knows Ajax the football team

Sam Dilks

What's crazy is that baby must be like 35 now.

Yep, I recognised that sound.

Keith Pratt

Was that Space Invaders in the pub at the start? You’ll probably be lucky to find games that aren’t gambling machines these days

grandtheftadmin

Yeah tea for 3 is my all time favourite episode

Jon Young

Little boy* silly me

Ross Elliott

When del says ‘it isn’t a little girl’ and then boycie says “well what is it then?” 😂 brilliant

Ross Elliott

Advancement through Technology :)

Gary Tamblyn

Josh my man you need to check out bottom live it's even better than the TV show it's off the wall I guarantee you won't be disappointed

Stu 79

Slightly weaker episode this one, still good though. From what I can remember, my absolute favourite from Series 5 is Episode 4 ‘Tea for Three’, that one is brilliant. Also one of my favourite lines ever in Episode 6.

Gary Tamblyn

Great Episode! Love the Uncle Albert scene at the beginning where he tries to speak German 😂 Bit of info, Marks and Spencer is a U.K. supermarket so the little joke when she said the baby’s called Mark and Del said that’s handy the dads names Spencer

Teddy Alison

"Vorsprung Durch Technik" is even funnier when you know it means "Made In Technology"

Shane Hardy

Thanks bud, I am looking forward to it =]

Oh ok thanks man =]

Couple of Del's choice 'German' phrases.. 'Munchen Gladbach' - German football team.. 'Vorsprung Durch Technik' = Audi advertisment.

Austin Stratton

although this isn’t one of the better episodes, I feel like the show really picks up from the next episode onwards and never misses! can’t wait to hear your thoughts :)

Sam Owen

I agree that this episode, whilst having some very funny lines, is a bit "off" plot-wise. Del goes a step too far and it goes wrong all by itself rather than his realising he's made an error of judgement. It's not really Anna I end up feeling sorry for as she did say she intended to give her baby away in the first place. I feel much sorrier for Marlene as she is clearly distraught at having motherhood dangled under her nose only to have it snatched away. I do like the language based jokes and I think Boycie gets some great lines here: "Funny isn't it? Everything I buy off you has got something missing!" and the Louis Armstrong joke too is very funny. . Good dialogue, poor story. Still, it's better than 90% of the rubbish that other shows can churn out in their poorest moments, and for some, even their strongest! There are some very strong series 5 episodes coming up, definitely! :-)

Ash Jeffries

While many people will say the first two, three (?) series had episodes that were hit and miss, I think Josh is now in for a treat. This is where most of the "classic/well known" episodes start.

Ryan Lynch

Not one of the better episodes.

Hannah

Whilst it's a fairly funny episode it always sticks out for me as it just doesn't seem to be what Del would do. Though ultimately he did the right thing and even if everything was perfect with the baby I'd like to think he would have done the same.

Kevin Liversage

He also says "vorsprung durch technik", which is an old advertising slogan for Audi.

Manly Stump

Stick a pony in me pocket I'll fetch the suitcase from the van 'Cos if you want the best uns But you don't ask questions Then brother, I'm your man Cause where it all comes from is a mystery, It's like the changing of the seasons And the tides of the sea But here's the one that's driving me berserk: Why do only fools and horses work?

Hannah

Ruby = Ruby Murray = Curry, and Monchengladbach is a German football team. Most British people know a lot of European football teams as they play against our teams all the time in the UEFA and European Cup, so it was probably the only German word Del knew.

Richard Carter

That boycie speech at the end was hilarious! 😂
