Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!!Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!!
This was a decent episode I enjoyed the scenes with the Tax collectors and Micheal not catching on to Alan's lie about knowing Bono lol. The scene with the fake Bono from Lynn's church was funny as well.
Thanks for watching folks !!! Hopefully, you all are happy, safe, and healthy !!
As always I would love to read your comments below
Gammon is just thick slices of ham essentially.

Hey bud if those shows are voted in on a poll I would totally do them. You all decide what I watch =]

Are you going to do any more Alan Partridge after this series, like Knowing Me Knowing You or Mid Morning Matters? I would love it if you did more Alan, I live in Norwich and he really is our only claim to fame.

Definitely one of the weaker episodes but watchable.

I enjoyed it but it for sure wasn't the best episode.

I think there are a lot of great jokes and moments in this episode. But the lack of plot makes it feel less satisfying. For me, it's not objectively bad (which I think is a harsh way of viewing it) but against so many other great episodes it falls short - again, not on jokes, but plot.

Also I feel like this episode might have been meant for earlier in the series, as Alan acts as though he hardly knows the builder here, yet hung out with him in the last episode.

Is it just me or does it feel like there's a scene or two missing? (Not from the broadcast, I mean more cut for time.) Maybe an argument between Alan and Sonja? One minute she's leaving the caravan slightly annoyed, then Alan's having a pint and telling people his girlfriend's left him? And then Alan & Lynn give the impression she's been gone for ages (enough time to call the police)?
I dunno, the episode just felt a bit disjointed to me.

Got to echo what others have said for me this is easily the weakest episode of both series. Next episode is back to form thankfully.

The air guitar scene aside, I always disliked this episode. It felt like they'd finally run out of ideas, and just stuck in a load of random jokes and scenarios to pad out the episode. I love just about everything Alan Partridge, but I think this must be the worst thing he's ever done. I'm glad the last episode of the series finishes on a high note though.

That would be great. Would love to see the specials, Scissored Isle is gold, and Mid Morning Matters too. And hopefully KMKY eventually

Watching this episode again now I wouldn't say I enjoy it above the other four, but it has moments that are really memorable for me! I love the "Bono's house" scene, I was actually surprised it's so late in the episode, I remembered that part being a more dominating part of the episode, and was surprised to see the IRS part taking up much more of the episode than I remembered.
Sad that this series is coming to an end, but the good thing is, the Alan Partridge character has spanned so many different projects over many years, so now that you've discovered the character, and enjoyed him as much as you have, you can see continue to watch him in other shows.
With that being said, although I was outvoted last time, I still think you should consider Knowing Me Knowing You as a series to react to. Think of it as watching a prequel, you've seen Alan Partridge, you have the context that he used to be on TV, you've learned from references in the show that his talk show didn't go well, and now, you have a chance to watch it! Ok so it's not quite as good as this show, but it still has some great moments, and it's only six episodes! (seven including the christmas special).
You've been watching Red Dwarf, and even the most ardent fans have said that it doesn't become as great a show until season 3, so the fear of not loving a show shouldn't put you off, especially seeing as it's only a very short series, and you already know the character, and find him funny. Anyway, if you don't watch it, there's still a lot of great Alan Partridge out there to discover.

Are you doing "This Time With Alan Partridge" to? 6 episodes again of that. They were meant do a second series of it, but the pandemic put it on hold for now

I used to go to Bono's house a.k.a. Blickling Hall on school trips, with us living about 20 minutes away. As a local, AP's references to the region make me love it so much more.
'Bono's house' is in the little village of Somerleyton, btw, which was also the first testing ground for hovercrafts. :)

Gammon is ham, apparently Virginia ham is the closest thing to it in the US but I’ve never had it myself so can’t say for sure.
Glad you enjoyed the Bond intro video, you got my name spot on, thanks very much

He said gammon lol it's a thing not a person. It's a joint of cured ham, similar to bacon
