ONF 'ONF:MY IDENTITY' Album Review | ReacttotheK Weekly Podcast Ep. 61

This one's for the nerds. With chord progressions practically begging for analysis and funky rhythms we couldn't get enough of, we couldn't help but nerd out and go full music student mode when discussing this album. But, despite its complexity, ONF still manages to deliver an incredibly fun listening experience whether your theory-brain is turned on or off.

omg yayyy!!! I wasn't sure if our podcasts would ever introduce songs to people due to their length, so I'm actually so happy to hear that!!!

Thank you for this! I listened to the album for the podcast and saved half the songs to my playlist.

This was perfect timing because I was JUST listening to this album for the first time so everything was super fresh in my head. This album gave me genre whiplash. Anti-Hero felt SO crazy to me for going full metal with the double kick at the end! Though I was kinda glad I understood the ON team/OFF team dynamic because it didn't feel so startling to me that an R&B track was followed by a rock/metal track. And the flute addition to Good Place was very fun and different! Also, nothing to do with music BUT I need Honor to know that I've officially reached my late 30's and I still have people thinking I'm in my 20's....which I only officially took as a compliment when they started clocking me at adult ages. When I was in my 20's and people thought I was a teenager, it was kinda hard to take lol.
