Patreon has decided not to go forward with the fee changes!

As of early this afternoon, Patreon has responded to the feedback on its planned fee changes and apologized. You can read Jack's blog post here.

I'm glad to see Patreon listening to its userbase and actually acknowledging some of the specific concerns people had with the plan. I do feel that Patreon has done serious damage to the relationship it has had with many of its creators, though. It will take a long time to rebuild trust, and many creators have seen patrons leave who will likely not return. I thank my Patrons who have stayed with me. I understand my patrons who have left and hope you will still enjoy my work elsewhere. Maybe, just maybe, Patreon will learn from this experience to act with more transparency and real feedback from its creators before making major decisions like this in the future. One must hope.

Going forward, I intend to continue my Patreon campaign as it has been up until now. I will be keeping an eye out for alternate platforms and services for the future should a move or change ever be necessary. My attitude in recent years has been to put my eggs in as many baskets as possible so if the bottom falls out of one of them, I'll still have eggs. However and wherever you decide to show your support for my work with, I hope you know I always appreciate your generosity and interest in my creative journey. You are so much of why I can do what I do.
