Feedback Requested (Velocity, Part One)

So I've gotten some very mixed reviews on Velocity Part One. Some people love it, some people are not fans of it. I'd like to ask for a bit of additional feedback from you all (if you don't mind) which will hopefully help me to understand what worked, what didn't, and where to go from here with it when I get back to it in the future. If you could answer the following questions that would be very helpful:
A) Did you LIKE the story?
B) If you could give it a rating, out of five, what would you rate it?
C) What did you LIKE?
D) What did you DISLIKE?
E) What do you look forward to in future installments of the story?
