August 2024 Status Report

Sorry for the slightly late monthly game update.

Last month started off with bug fix and QoL work into the bugfix patch of that month.
Then after that was resolved more issues were found and worked on, including the ones in balancing of the changeling, to the point I was originally going to do another bugfix patch sometime around the middle of the month but with how further QoL improvements that felt was working on went, that eventually became a bit impractical so it ended up all getting bundled into the v26.4 update.

So aside from the myriad of fixes and QoL and back and forth with felt on his stuff I set to making the Livewire scene, which in between it's lengthy words I did take the time to start on the Livewire's sheet for combat to figure out their perks, stats and item drops, which you can see in the game files if you want to see this early state. But with that scene eventually done it went into editing, and then I went into editing the Amber scenes Val made.
Once those were all done there was a few more QoL and fixes that cropped up to do, before eventually deciding to tie things up with some fun additions like the new Ancilla facts and the main menu snippets.

With that also interspersed with messaging with artists, which of there are 5 on going commissions (unless I'm forgetting one), one of which should be good to tease soonish.

There was also a bit of a small oops with android's quick menu that has been since hot fixed out of the existing downloads thanks to felt fixing it while I was still wrapping up posting the update.

There hasn't been any further issues so far so hopefully nothing is going to explode. But it's still possible there may need to be a small bugfix patch before v26.5, which for said version I will be very determined to get more content into given the recent QoL and balancing palooza, even despite what I wanted to do for August. There will also possibly be art implemented as that becomes available.

But I do hope people like all the UI changes and content there is, the game should also now be moving much smoother and take up less ram! The world map was eating a bunch for basically no real reason. We fixed it though.
