***EARLY ACCESS*** THE BOYS 2x3 Full Watch Along

A few more or less notable things: The final scene, when Stormfront gives her speech, underlines her racism even more, when you pay attention to the people from the destroyed building, who are tended in the background. They are all black people. Homelander's narcissism provides amazingly a little hope for the viewers. When Ryan shoves him and makes him fall on his ass, he doesn't even seem to consider the danger Ryan could pose to him. For Homelander it's impossible, that he could be wrong in anything, which also means, of course he's a good dad, and his son will definitely stand on his side. Deep's poor execution of his plan is still funny, bc we remember his other fumblings and his Patton Oswalt-induced self-reflection. But here it also hits heavier, not only bc Lucy died, but also he let himself be pushed into this mission, when he even stated, that he's mentally not in the right place. The heroes seem to have little to know tactical training, and he's the poor sod, who gets to demonstrate it again. He should have Lucy jump out of the water and onto the boat instead of beaching her and just stand there striking a pose. Anyone else noticed the over excited movie director had "Fassbinder" on his t-shirt after the director Rainer Werner Fassbinder? And it was written in Metallica font? Pretentious douche! :)

Yep, I had the same feeling in that police station scene from the Terminator. Sick to my stomach when I again experienced that same feeling here....when Stormfront was raging through the apartment building 🤮🤮🤮

No need to feel dumb, because of Stormfront. Not everybody knows about the white supremacist connection, and the show gave NO indication, what she really is up until that point. Although I'm not sure, how clearly certain symbols were already shown in this episode, i.e. her earpins and the belt buckle. Her plot was cleverly written, that almost everybody fell for her coolness. I certainly felt the gut punch, when she killed the black family father just like that. I was like: "What? Did I see that right?" Then she killed the youths off screen, and I was like: "Oh shit, she IS that kind of monster." Interestingly for me, I found the outside shot of her rampage through the building the most disturbing scene so far. It's not the gore and crazy violence, that's the true horror. I find that to be more disgust, I got used to over time. But that sort of cruelty, that just rolls over defenseless people like a malevolent force of nature which no one and nothing can stop... Urgh. It reminded me of the police station in the first Terminator. The scene that wrenched my guts the most was, when the Terminator wasn't shooting but stoically walking past the bull pen, and all you could hear were the moans and screams of pain of the wounded officers in the dark. That is a horrible situation of helplessness for the people there AND for me as the viewer.

Sorry to jump in, but Translucent has a 10 year old son. And Mesmer has an estranged daughter. The show just didn't mention anything about them having powers or not or them being under supervision or something. I think, it's unclear whether that was intentional or not. When Vogelbaum told Homelander about Becca's "unprecedented condition", I wondered, if they had forgotten about the 2 children mentioned before. Right now I go by the theory, that Vogelbaum meant: A "created" Supe i.e. Homelander, who was made sterile did father a child. Of course I don't know, if Homelander is an artificial creation, but I think that's implied. On the other hand Vogelbaum lied about several details, so who knows? I hope, they resolve this plot point. It's also possible, that Mesmer and Translucent were STEP-fathers, but that was also never mentioned. - But yes, Ryan seems to be the first child of a Supe, that was BORN with powers.

I love how they continually cover Jack Quaid in ick. He's like Bruce Campbell in the Evil Dead series.

The whole joke is that The Deep cannot do anything right and is any BUT a friend to the sea creatures he loves. He's so assured that he's making the right decisions that he makes things far worse. Every. Single. Time.

Also "Stormfront" was the name of the number one white supremacist website in the late 90s and early 00s, as soon as I heard her name I knew what was up lol

Ryan has powers because he's Homelander's son. None of the other supes have had kids, I think it's even mentioned earlier that they thought compound V makes you sterile and Ryan was a surprise
