***Early Access*** WandaVision 1x4 Full Watch Along

I am watching CAPTAIN MARVEL right after I finish this episode.

***Early Access*** WandaVision 1x4 Full Watch Along

Comments

I noticed a couple of continuity errors at the end of the episode. First, when they are showing Monica Rambeau laying on the ground after being ejected from the barrier, they pan the shot from above and show a soldier (I'm not sure what department the person is from, but it looks like either Marine Marpat or US Navy work fatigues, so possibly a sailor, not a soldier) holding c-spine control (cervical spine control, a first aid technique to limit head/neck movement, mitigating spinal cord injury and possible paralysis). The next clip shows Agent Jimmy Woo and Dr Darcy Lewis running up to the scene of the accident and it shows a close up of Monica saying, "It's Wanda" ... but there are no hands supporting her head. Second, after Wanda blasts Captain Rambeau through the wall, they show Wanda repairing the wall and you can see the kitchen behind her. She steps back, and you can see that the wall leads to the baby room. You can even see the inside of the baby room, and the property fence when the scene pulls out from the repair. Wanda looks at her hands, then heads back to the bassinet. Vision immediately enters the house from the front door. But, that would mean that he would have seen Rambeau get blasted out the wall. 😲 Incidentally, I think the extras that were treating Captain Rambeau on the ground were actually First Responders, as I don't think extras would be doing those "systems checks" as well. Kudos to those actors for the accurate portrayal of the response (pupilary response, ear canal fluid check, c-spine, etc). It's quite possible that they pulled the actual set medics in to do the scene. πŸ™‚ Again, another great reaction video, Kazzy. πŸ€—

This is all about the KIDS. So I was thinking if Mephisto or the Grim Reaper is the character behind this then he is manipulating Wanda to have the kids. Now with the last 5 shows it is all about taking her out so he can swoop in and take the kids. If this is following a House of M and The Vision comics like I think it is then we are looking at a very mentally unstable Wanda that is being manipulated into creating a new reality with these children. OOooo if only I am on to something. That would open the door to mutants and to Dr Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. SWORD also sounds like it is opening the door to the Fantastic 4. This may be bigger than we are thinking because in the comics Wanda aka Scarlet Witch is as close to an Omega level mutant as there is and her Chaos powers in conjunction with Hex magic could change reality. Fracture it even. Multiverse!! Game on Kevin Feige, game freaking on!!!

This was a fantastic episode. I would watch an entire movie of just Darcy casting snark at people. The episode confirmed a lot of my theories, but not my central question: Why is Vision there when he should be dead? I don’t think he’s Zombie Vision marionetted by Wanda. He’s real and he’s alive. His doubts about his reality confirm that, as well as him hiding his doubts from Wanda. I think Wanda or someone else reconstructed the Mind Stone and resurrected Vision. I also don’t think Wanda is ultimately in control. She’s definitely protecting the reality, but I think someone put them there and wiped Wanda and Vision’s memory. Those memories are seeping back though, and that’s why Wanda had a memory of Vision being dead. The person or thing behind it all is my wildest theory: They mentioned twice the presence of CMBR, background radiation from the start of the universe. I think whatever being is responsible for this has been around since the beginning of time....

I agree that this isn't just Wanda. there's a LOT of Marvel comic lore potentially at play here. There are some incredible possibilities based just upon my knowledge of the comics (which ends mostly in the early 80's), and I have heard snippets of theories (not spoilers, per se, because it's speculation). But this show keeps getting better and better and the threads into the MCU, the comics, and just the whole mythos of Marvel is amazing in a way that makes this show something truly special. If you wish, here's is a great overview of Scarlet Witch and Vision comic history that adds a lot of both understanding and theory. It isn't spoilery in the classic sense, just mind-opening and informative of stuff already out there for decades that you may not be aware of: https://youtu.be/L-hIZzFl9dM

Monica Rambeau is a character introduced in Captain Marvel, and you don't need to see that to get her. She was a child in that film. But she is an important comic character.

Well that was a cool episode and a lot of fun to watch along with your reaction. πŸ˜ƒ My thoughts on it are pretty much the same as your comments (including appreciation for Voodoo Child) and other's comments here about what's been revealed so far. I'm glad they explained a lot about what's happening in this episode, but still have left some big questions unanswered.

Wanda can control reality itself and in her grief stricken state, she's lost touch with reality. She is a sentient weapon even if she doesn't realize this. She really doesn't understand what she's doing or how she's hurting the people of Westview. It's clear to me now that she was the one who caused, unconsciously, Mr. Hart to choke when he asked too many questions and threatened her new reality. SWORD can't leave her alone because of the hostages and the threat of her uncontrolled powers. This really took a sad turn for me. I think the flash of Vision's corpse indicates that he truly is dead and the live Vision we're seeing is just Wanda's projection. Wanda's vision so to speak. In Infinity War, she had to use her power to destroy Vision's mind stone to save the world. She had to kill the love of her life. Then she saw Thanos bring him back and murder him right in front of her in the most brutal way. She went through all that and lost anyway. Her parents, her brother, then the love of her life, it's no wonder she wants to reshape reality! I feel like the end of this show is going to be tough. I hope someone helps her.

We finally got some questions answered and the best is yet to come IMO! it's very similar to the plot of the comic, but I don't want to spoil you anything! I love this show so much! When you watch Captain Marvel you will notice more details about this episode! As always I loved your reaction! see you soon Kazzy!!! πŸ’™πŸ˜˜πŸ€—

So, in this episode they revealed that the neighbors are real people, sucked into Wanda's "neighborhood." So they can't just leave Wanda and Vision alone, without losing those civilian. My guess is they lived in the area Wanda took over. I think her facial expressions are great, both humorous and dark. I think she is confused because she ejected the memories of life outside Westview, but those memories keep coming back. She's confused because she's getting her memories back in fragments. SHE doesn't want the memories. But reality keeps seeping back in, and the intrusions by SWORD are probably escalating the process of reality re-asserting itself, whether she likes it or not.
