in the comics, each personality represented one of the avengers. there were four of them.

The Frighteners is the movie you were trying to think of at the beginning of the video. Stars Michael J. Fox (Back to the Future). You should watch it for the channel since you remember so little about it and since the Mrs. has never seen it.

"By good he means bad" I just think, this is almost a Magneto situation. He actually is good, but the whole point of Harrow was the ends justify the means, so if the net morality was positive, you can do whatever evil, and justify it, if the net outcome was good. That's why Harrow is a really compelling villain.

we actually just posted it!

I cannot overstate just how much I love this show!! And I know yall are looking for the connections, but Moon Knight should be joining a team that's like the supernatural version of the avengers. I hope you get into Werewolf by Night soon!! Especially with Halloween around the corner. Moon Knight made his debut in the Werewolf by Night comics, and that feature is just incredible.

The first episode of Ms. Marvel I loved! The story and the "villan" just put me to sleep. I loved the character, but the storyline was just dull and boring to me.

They confirmed 2005 version. And what is your issue with Ms. Marvel? Your omission suggests you didn't like it, but it is a show I'm pretty sure they will like a lot. I always remember these are comic book movies, and I rate them on how entertaining they are, not some wide ranging story with an epic conclusion. So far, I have been entertained by all of them, some more than others, but like pizza, even lesser MCU offerings still taste good.

the reason he has glass in his shoe, as it was stated later, was his penance for the bad things he did, hoping to correct his sins, so amit wouldn't kill him.

I know a lot of people put Loki up there as the best series, but I think, WandaVision, MoonKnight and Hawkeye were better. Yeah, I put Loki as #4. So happy to hear that you are doing Fantastic Four (2005) next. Please make sure it is the 2005 , not the shitty 2015 movie. It's important on several levels moving forward. Dr. Strange is a banger also, and sadly, probably the last of the really good phase 4 projects that remains (although She-Hulk is a really good comedy that I liked, and I almost forgot about Werewolf by Night which is a really cool retro horror special that was good). While you keep plowing through Phase 4 and Phase 5, I HIGHLY suggest you watch Daredevil (2003) and Blade (1997) before you get to Deadpool and Wolverine, but you have plenty of time to watch those. P.S. Just saw Deadpool and Wolverine yesterday and OMG....

Mrs. O caught the reference to Madripoor a few eps ago, but you both missed the only other MCU reference in this show. When Tarawet was first talking to Marc/Steven, she mentioned other 'spiritual' realms. She spoke about the Spiritual Plain, which refers to the place the Black Panthers go when they die. I'm an old school Moon Knight fan from when the original comic run came out in the early eighties. Was it really 40+ years ago? I don't necessarily see another season in the future, but I expect they are planning to use MK in other ways.

They said they are watching the first, and that is enough for now...

Peter K

I’m assuming this leads into him being apart of the midnight suns team with other supernatural characters similar to how the guardians were introduced as a new team except not individually lol

Are you guys watching any of the Fantastic Four movies before Dr. Strange by any chance?

Oscar Isaac truly deserved an Emmy for that tour-de-force performance. And I also appreciated the Egyptian pantheon getting some airtime. Looking forward to Doc Strange: MoM.

So, the thing about Jake Lockley is that Marc created Steven to save himself from the beatings, Steven has no recollection of his mom being abusive towards him, so enter Jake Lockley the one that got the beatings. He's a boxer, in the comics he has a thick New York accents. We see him with the bandage on his nose, he spoke differently and wanted to either harm Harrow, or himself. Oscar has a Guatemalan background and made Jake talk purely in Spanish, which I love. That's the beauty and mystery of Moon Knight himself. We don't know if he's literally in a psych ward creating these things we're seeing, or if he's what we perceive him to be, a super hero in the Marvel universe.

Oscar got his real-life brother Michael on the show as a stand-in. Whenever Oscar was portraying Marc, Michael would portray Steven and vice versa. Then the post-production team worked their magic. Oscar did a lot of research on DID before going into this show. That included reading a book called A Fractured Mind. Author Robert Oxnam revealed in the book that he had eight alters living with him that he didn’t know about until he was in his 40’s. About a year and a half ago, my sister was able to finish watching this show and I joined her in case she missed anything. I especially wanted her to watch this episode because I wanted her input about the show’s take on mental health. We paused this episode twice to talk about what was going on, but the second pause had sparked a conversation that went on for about half an hour. We talked about mental health in general because we both deal with our own struggles and know people who also struggle. She also helped me clarify who Marc was talking to when he said “I won’t give you that satisfaction.” I figured he was saying that to his father Elias because the latter wanted his son to grieve with him, but my sister said it made more sense he would be saying that to his mom Wendy because from Marc’s point of view she doesn’t deserve to be mourned after all the torment she inflicted. The reason why I say Marc was saying that to Elias was because even though he didn’t take part in the abuse the fact that he didn’t do anything about it makes him just as responsible as Wendy for the DID. By the way, Marc is Jewish in the comics as well. The comic version of his father was a Czechoslovakian rabbi. He was also the cause of Marc’s trauma. Enter the Scarlet Scarab. They didn’t say it aloud but that’s Layla’s codename when she’s in her superhero costume. Mohamed Diab’s daughter wanted to change her hairstyle because she didn’t see anyone in major media who looked like her, but now she’s proud to have her hairstyle after seeing Layla become the Scarlet Scarab. And lastly, Oscar comes from a Guatemalan family. So when I saw him speaking Spanish as Jake, I freaked out with excitement and laughter because my parents are from Quetzaltenango.
