So, before I tell you folks about the script; The PC went through a whole bunch of growing pains, me and friends have had to solve everything you could expect, including;
Transferring issues, blue screens, corrupted programs, broken hard drives, repairing/reordering cables, poorly written manuals, fiddly screws, invalid codecs/formats, terrible temperature monitoring software, overclocking that clashes with the very programs this PC was built to use, purchasing or pirating licenses based on how awful the products own suppliers are, extensive cable management, HDMI switches, drivers, drivers and more drivers, compatability issues, sign-ins being changed and approved for every single thing that ever existed for security.
And this was on top of breaking down the previous desk I used for 6 years just days before building the new one. Once that was all out of the way and the hardware was in place, the cable management took a day alone considering the massive amount of back and forths this PC needs setup.
There are 7 HDMI cables currently plugged into different devices, it was a nightmare. BUT it was completed and then began the file transfers and sorting from my old PC's project files. I had them in no particular order before but now its all brand spanking new and everything is in such a great format that anyone could carry my projects on from how simplistic all my file paths are.
As of today I am sorting all of the recordings of gameplay I have from myself and friends for various games I wish to cover in the future. I managed to sort every note pad and word document, tv show, song, movie and game into their correct positions, I even re named them, it's been a nightmare but it will streamline my work for the future.
After tomorrow I should be finished and once my room is cleared up from all of the packets and other junk from this whole thing I shall be carrying on with the script.
Pictured above is what it currently looks like under my desk with the fully functioning new PC, I am so bloody relieved to be past the troubleshooting phase in both hardware and software. Well, almost.
So, onto the script;
I believe that the last time I gave you guys a number it was at 72K, I then posted a twitter update showing how it had grown and is still growing, so how about I make that make sense?
The first thing I did when writing this project was open up a notes document and simply splurge any and all thoughts as I created my first plot summary/analysis.
So then I went through the whole plot in the film and as I did, I made notes for things I had missed and then started up a new document for patterns within the writing. Once that was complete, I ordered the notes doc chronologically and redrafted while injecting them in and again, noting in the patterns doc.
This is completed alongside the information from the sequel film pouring into the scenes as required to flesh out the analysis.
Once that draft was done I collected up the patterns and put them into categories and use each of them as an opportunity to explore writing. This means that during the script I go on tangents to explain why the pattern is bad or good and how it is used in other media.
Once that is finished, we redraft. And begin a summary for the whole script about the film, and begin watching other YouTuber reviews of the film.
On top of that I begin preparing the outro elements like Discord promotion or Patreon updates and thanks for the support in general on top of responding to other YouTubers who have targeted me.
Once I have finished with those other YouTuber's reviews, I sort the greatest quotes and perspectives into sections to explore what the consensus on the film was while coming to a conclusion on what effect the film had on YouTubers/the public in general.
Then yah re-draft again. Next up is looking into the promotional stuff, that means all the blu ray features, including the documentaries and the audio commentaries, then the interviews. Then, once you have it, you redraft and add in the remaining notes chronologically while binding any and all documents together into one.
To give you an idea, i'm not complete on the interviews bit, I have watched <100 interviews on YouTube and I have more than that to go. As you can imagine I have so much to say. The document for the interviews is currently at 10,735 words alone before being added to the main project where relevant.
And the word count for the current version of the final script that was at 72K ?
Well, it's 113,491 words.
This is absolutely my biggest project and I genuinely feel a bit of guilt taking so long to provide content but rest assured it's all going towards making something huge.
Now, it's time I get this script finished, thanks again for keeping up with me folks, I can't wait to show you what I have made with the machine you guys helped me buy <3 /
