Thank you guys for making this possible.

So, I think it's time for a decent chunk of an update in relation to work don't you?

Or, here me out;

How about an update on the tools for the work?

So, not a huge amount of people are too aware but my current PC is on it's way out, this guy has been a loyal trooper for many years, given me plenty of fun with games, movies, tv and streaming/recording. But it's always a matter of time before a PC breaks.

I have many freezing and lag issues, the OS is borked, it's paid for but thinks i'm non-licensed because of a particularly devious Windows update. Add that to two hard drives that are getting so slow i'm scared they are days away from refusing to load on top of the inability to pressure my PC with gaming or streaming with local games and I am left with few options.

Without a re-image/new parts, I doubt any of these issues will be solved completely.

So that's where YouTube and Patreon come in. I have been saving every last penny outside of standard expenses ever since uploading that initial video on The Last Jedi and I can now put it to use;

Do me a favour and click on this link and follow me through the pictures as I describe them to you - https://imgur.com/a/lAch9Wb

(1-4) - That is my best friend Alex beginning work on probably the most expensive build he has ever been able to put together, checking out the manuals while prepping the case for the build.

(5) - There you can see the CPU nestled snugly in the motherboard before being clasped in. We chose an i9-7900 because processing power is just as essential alongside the ability of the graphics card when it comes to rendering and streaming. So I hopefully won't encounter any issues on that front.

(6) - Artistic photo that shows off the great taste in music that my friend obviously has.

(7) - This is the case, prepped for the build and the cooler has been attached to the top for exhausting, the build already coming along.

(8) - The motherboard and cooler placed successfully with some fun bits and bobs to screw in on top.

(9) - The graphics card is in now too, again going with a 1080ti in order to actually have quality in the gaming reviews I will be able to now commit to. Not to mention being a little future proof.

*memories of the YookaLaylee series and it's horrible lag still haunt me*

(10) - Power supply secured.

(11) - Final pick before all of the cable management began.

(12) - Here is a team photo of what came together to create such a monster PC and all that's missing is the 10tb HDD because that part decided that it would screech on boot and we had to buy a replacement, luckily! that got sorted within a few days and the new one got fitted.

I can now store every last piece of referential media that makes up my history all on one big machine.

(13-14) - Two finish photos of the build while off and ready to go, the side panel is left off because there are a few more bits and bobs to get through.

(15-16) - So this is the PC while on and in a dark room. This thing lights up like crazy, I guess they think consumers might be worried if the expensive stuff didn't look like it could generate its own rave.

I will be making a video for this build and some of these pictures will indeed make it to that video once the whole thing is completed, we still have a hard drive to sort out, usb slots and the elgato of course.

But I will get you folks more info as time goes on. This thing is prepared for me to jump over and as soon as my script is closer to completion, that's the half way point and I can transfer what is essentially my hardware and software "workspace" over.

So, yeah, next update, I should be telling you the script is complete and I have some funny surprises about it's length for you once again but I have been a little delayed with this whole thing, thank you all for being patient, I think this project on The Force Awakens is going to be my longest yet and this new machine with be baptised with rendering all hours of it.

And again, that is thanks to you lot, I am well beyond thankful, you have changed my life in the most significant of ways and have now purchased me a tool that can push this channel to it's analytical limits, thank you all so bloody much for that.

Here's to the future folks!

P.S. Huge thanks to my friend Alex who got all of this sorted out, his know how and kindness have been extremely important to this whole process.

Wouldn't have gotten here without yah dude, thank you <3 /

Dude, what you've been eating to get I9+1080TI ?!?! I'm concerned for your health! :)

Congratulations, my dude. You deserve every bit of this! ^_^

Looking cool. If you're worried about your hard disks dying (and you should be, even new ones do), I suggest investing in a NAS. Keeping a second copy of important files on a seperate device is always a good idea. I have good experiences with Synology, but there are many good consumer NAS devices available.
