General Progress Update

Hi!

As I'm sure you've all noticed the frequency of updates have slowed down quite significantly lately, so I figured it's high time I make a post adressing just that.

With the pandemic turning daily life upside down for so many - myself included - it has taken it's toll on me, and when the general mood is down it is considerably more difficult to write well. That said, it is not an excuse. By all accounts I can still write, and while I feel the need to get help from people reading previews to judge whether the writing is actually good or not, it should only take slightly longer than normal.

So with that said, my mood is not the reason I have been writing so little recently, the reason, is priorities. By far the most time consuming thing about this project is getting all the scene art commissioned, something that is directly tied to the monthly patreon income. with the exception of a single personal purchase, I have spent, and will continue to spend all of the patreon income on commissions, but even then the art assets are lagging quite far behind the writing, and with the current income it will take a long time to catch up, and that is the crux of the recent slowdown.

Since the ultimate completion of the game is  predicated on all the art assets being finished that means that even if I don't write for a while it won't negatively impact the eventual finish and release of version 1.0 - For that reason combined with the aforementioned writing problems I have recently been focusing on other things, things that don't really facilitate frequent updates - primarily I've been working on updating and adding animations to the in-game character model, and with animation being tedious - but fun - detail oriented work it doesn't make sense to me to provide frequent updated. Rest assured though, progress is being made, and the lack of recent updates does not mean that work isn't being done^^

TLDR: I haven't been providing many updates recently. I am still working, but I have been focusing on work that doesn't lend itself to regular updates.

To end on a high note; this week's preview image is for one of the scenes at the brothel on planet 2, it was made by CodyBlue, which in my opinion has an almost criminally low number of watchers on FA, so please have a look at their profile and give them some love~ (the full version of the previewed image is also up in their gallery^^)
