Hey Patrons!
I want to keep v2.3.0 fairly lightweight overall and focused on the two new quest variants, but there’s definitely room for a little side content as well! I’ve got 5 different options here that I’d like to gauge support on, which vary from UI adjustments to small content additions.
The results of this poll will help me prioritize which content gets worked on in v2.3.0, and which gets deferred until later or shelved.

All patrons are encouraged to share their opinion by commenting and voting, but currently only the votes from Golden+ Supporters are counted when determining a poll winner. Votes from Shattered Supporters are worth double!
New Badges
As mentioned in previous weeklies and blog posts, I want to keep iteratively adding badges to the game as I do other updates. The new quest content provides an obvious opportunity for more badges, both to reward regular progression and to encourage players to try specific challenges. While new badges wouldn’t have to all tie into quests, that’s likely to be what most of them relate to this time around.
Unique Hero Remains Items
Remains from previous runs often contain tiny amounts of gold if the player has challenges enabled or dies with few items in a previous run. It might be nice to adjust that slightly and include a minor single-use consumable item instead. The consumable would vary based on the class the remains came from and would provide some extremely minor consumable benefit. As an example, a Rogue’s remains might produce a scrap of fabric that grants 3 turns of invisibility when consumed. Perhaps there could be a badge for winning with one of these items as well.
More Holiday Items
It’s been a very long time since I added the original two holiday variants to the pasty, yet I still regularly see posts from players who are happy to see them. Clearly this little feature is well-liked, so it might be nice to expand the amount of holidays it covers. Each pasty variant would have its own sprite, text, and minor unique effect. Some examples might be a slice of cake on Shattered (and Vanilla’s) birthday, a chocolate egg on easter, something for the lunar new year, and something for pride month. Just as with the current holiday items, I’ll try to keep them fairly neutral in tone and not strongly root them in real world themes.
Damage Text Icons
A fairly minor UI addition that I think could be very useful: adding various icons to the little numbers that pop up above characters when they are damaged, healed, or gain exp. These little icons would sit next to the usual damage text, and make it clear what the source is. I’m not sure yet exactly how wide-reaching these would be, but some obvious candidates for icons are: regular physical damage, magical damage, burning, poison, bleeding, toxic, corrosion, shielding, healing, and experience.
Custom Notes
Another UI change, custom notes are something that players have been asking about for a very long time. Custom notes would likely live in the journal page, potentially merging with landmark functionality. The player would be able to make a certain number of custom notes, assign them to a floor (current floor would be the default), and assign an icon to them. As an important note, I am strongly considering making this a supporter feature, available only for paid versions of the game, or supporters on Google Play.

2023-11-13 23:14:48 +0000 UTCHm, noted bout the blacksmith, I'll look into that. I don't have a solid idea for pride yet, but I don't want it to be intrusive, see my other comment here. More holiday items will reduce the number of regular days, but I probably will also pull in the amount of time the existing haloween and winter holidays rewards are present for.

2023-11-13 19:35:57 +0000 UTCAs not particularly LGB-whatever affected (Gender??? Ah I know what that is - there's two: traditional and free), I like the idea too - but what sprite? Edible D*...es? (Oh, and please do not reduce the number of 'normal' days too much. The Samhain pastries were in there far too early lately.) On notes - reminds me the Blacksmith no longer disappears from the landmarks once the reward is used up. Level 24: did I cash in? Better run back and check! Since shattered is *the* (bus trip / waiting for the boiler to heat / other session) distraction, notes clearly wins.

2023-11-13 19:31:58 +0000 UTCIt was a great candidate as it sits right in the middle of what would otherwise be a big holiday gap from May to July. I do expect I'll have to be careful about the implementation though. While LGBTQ folks visibly existing shouldn't be politically charged, it unfortunately is even for people who are supportive. Whatever thing I may add needs to be a fairly clear reference to pride, without pulling people out of the game experience.
