Loyalty Rewards | Patreon Weekly #75

Hey Patrons!

Content Poll #11 has finished! Here are the results:

There was strong support for both Loyalty Rewards, and Patreon Game Builds so I’ll be looking to add both of these as milestone rewards in the future. Loyalty rewards got first place, and so will be locked in as the $400/mo reward shortly!

As for the first Q&A Stream, it will be at 8pm EDT this Friday the 13th! If you have any questions you’d like answered, please write them in a comment here, or in the dedicated Q&A channel on the discord! You can ask any questions you like, but there are two guidelines:
- I may not answer questions that are overly personal.
- If you ask lots of questions I may skip some if we’re low on time.
All patrons can ask questions, I will make a post early on Friday with the link to the stream for golden+ patrons, and a link to the VOD will be available to all patrons in the next weekly.

v0.9.1 Progress

Unfortunately, my productivity was absolutely destroyed from Tuesday to Saturday last week thanks to the US presidential election, so I’ve only got some relatively small things to show off this week:

Firstly, I’ve added a little more polish to those levelgen changes:

Here’s an example picture that shows off both of these tweaks:

On the bottom right you can see a smaller fissure room that has merged with an empty room it was not connected to on the left. Because the merge is made from chasm, the fissure room accepts it completely. On the upper center you can see a large fissure room that has merged with the blacksmith’s workshop. Because there was no fissure where the merge was happening, the fissure room allowed it. Lastly, just to the right of that large fissure room you can see another chasm merge between an empty room and a chasm walkway room. Walkway rooms only accept merges if they're made from chasm.

I’ve also made a bit more progress on talent concepting. I’m investigating giving each class a tier-2 talent that ties in with an item or buff that fits their class identity. The warrior, for example, might recharge his seal shield when drinking a potion of healing. The trickiness here is that not all classes have common items that tie into their identity, and the mage already has a talent like this in Tier 1.

I’m aiming to spend the entirety of this week on talent design, so hopefully I will have some much more final concepts for tier 2 to show you next week.

Always thought the value I get from this game was worth MUCH more than the one time in app purchase!
