FULL LENGTH REACTION* for Back to the Future

HAPPY DECEMBER!!

This movie has been recommended quite a lot by everyone, so here we go!  I didn't know too much about the movie going in and it felt nice to not really have much of an idea what to expect.

Does anyone have any plans for Christmas or December or any other holiday that is being celebrated?

I still don't have snow yet which feels weird.  I do miss it being all white everywhere and peaceful.

Have a nice rest of week everyone!

They gave up on most of the drooling but he does still do a signature belch once in a while. You ought to watch the rest of Rick & Morty. I'd like to see your reactions to it. They're pretty fun and fast paced. And often they have a mind blowing episode such an epic show! 😊😮 (I'm trying to decide which of your reactions to watch next 🙂)

I've only seen the first season of Rick and Morty, the belching and slight throwing up all the time got annoying. I like the adventures themselves though! This was the first time I saw either actor in a movie, which means I have more of their movies to discover lol That's pretty awesome that they have the theme from Taxi as a ringtone, definitely a subtle reference that probably not a lot of people would be able to pick up! I love it when shows or movies do these little easter eggs 🤩

hahaha I'm glad you enjoyed it 😄 I like Rick & Morty too. You can see their origin from Doc & Marty. Doc Brown's performance is iconic in this movie (played by Christopher Lloyd) and Michael J Fox does have a crack in his voice sometimes and maybe that's why they gave Morty that unusual voice mannerisms as well, maybe a parody of Michael J Fox. Michael J Fox got famous from the TV show Family Ties (let me check, yes!) So a movie of his that I like is The Frighteners (1996) I like his role in it, he's always likable in everything. As for Christopher Lloyd, he came from Taxi TV series where he played an eccentric guy he was famous for that. I remember he is in Who Framed Roger Rabbit and The Addams Family movie. But check it out, it says he also played the voice of Rick Sanchez in one of the short films, wow! And also... in a Rick & Morty episode Summer and Morty pulls a prank on Rick by changing his cellphone ringtone to the Theme From Taxi, this was actually a super famous theme but out-of-place in a Rick & Morty episode hahaha... I just realized the tie-in with Christopher Lloyd character... while the theme plays, Rick is dual wielding in a gun battle with Panda Express employees, woo! 😮😀

That's awesome! I love how they made it seem like Marty influenced him for the guitar style. I feel like these movies do time travelling so fun and not too seriously. I love how Marty is influenced by Chuck Berry, who then influences Chuck Berry in the past with his own moves and style. Time paradoxes are great 😁 I do like how we saw just how different Marty's mom was when she was a teenager. I'm sure I missed a lot of jokes in these movies, and I hope I'll pick them up on rewatch. Back to the Future is such a perfect comedy movie, where you go in and just have fun and laugh the whole way through :D

Wow I just watched this reaction, it was pretty fun. Just a couple of thoughts 😊 Marty sang a Chuck Berry song "Johnny B Goode" and the guy with a cut hand phoned up his cousin Chuck to have him listen to this "new sound" - of course this is the iconic guitar style that influenced everyone going forward and the joke here is that Marty plays this classic guitar song to Chuck Berry himself - it's a time paradox but truly a joke because we all know Chuck originated this guitar style along with doing the iconic "duck walk" that Marty was copying 😲 lol I guess it was a guitar joke but they put a lot of guitar references in, like Van Halen and in the opening with that giant speaker - oh and Huey Lewis who sang the song that Marty is auditioning, he was the one who said "it's just too loud" about his own song lol Speaking of time paradox, one of the earliest time paradox trope is going back in time and killing your grandfather - thereby you father is never born and then you couldn't have been conceived and thus couldn't go back in time to kill your grandfather... and the "more risque" version of this is when you go back in time and conceive yourself with your own mother... now wait a minute 😮😆 Actually the movie is chock-full of jokes and references and contradictions as jokes that this story point with old-Lorraine saying a girl should never chase after a boy and not park in cars with boys etc but it's immediately contradicted as soon as Marty meets his mom as a young girl, also I believe the movie is "trolling the audience for reactions" throughout those scenes hahaha 😅 If you look closely at old-George's face and his reaction to the question what was he doing there in the middle of the street... and the joke is when we learn what he was actually doing and also it's trolling the audience at the same time 😄😀😮 for shocked expressions! lol. I'm glad you enjoyed the movie.

The storytelling was so fun though! It's definitely different from what I'm used to but it's such a welcomed change. I can just imagine how much fun it would have been to see in theatres with friends, I'm glad you got to have so much fun.

Great reaction. I first saw this in a movie theater in '85 when I was 16 with two high school friends. I remember thinking afterwards that I hadn't had such a fun and escapist time at the movies in a long time, maybe since Raiders in '81. However I understand how the storytelling style can be jarring to you as this is very exaggerated, melodramatic, etc. in comparison with today's movies.

Ian Cano

Well the smile you just gave me was a good start ❤

Hopefully 'meating' up with a friend will help :)

I'll probably watch it when I'm a little less bummed. I'm sure I'll enjoy it when I do.

Great Scott! Happy December 🥳
