Tragic update and temp pause

How are you all doing this week? I've been having a NIGHTMARE of a time... but not all hope is lost...! Lock in folks, this is gonna be a long one.

What's been going on? For those of you who aren't in the Discord, Saturday night my PC just started suddenly shutting off without warning. Sunday I spend the entire day troubleshooting and trying to figure out what's up. I also in the process discover that my script hasn't been backing up how it's supposed to and I thought I had lost nearly 3/4 of the script (only a minor panic attack on that one). GOOD NEWS THOUGH, I replaced my old PSU and was able to recover my old files so that was a massive relief...

That means everything's good, right? Well it was... until tonight where I left my pc off to go do a brand new render... only to hear a LOUD POP come from my office... Now I know what you're thinking. "Dax, surely you're not going to tell me that brand new power supply didn't immediately explode, right...?" ...so about that... yeah... my brand fucking new power supply exploded after <24hrs...

So, I think it's time to step back for a second and take a little break. I'm going to pause payments this month because, despite my strong start to the month, I just feel I'm not going to be able to put enough time into the project this month. I am sad I'm going to miss the 1yr mark since Chapter 1, but I think this off/downtime is going to let me set some time aside to work on the script and flush it out and puff it up a bit more.

So what now? Am I done with the project? HELL NO! I'm more motivated than ever to get this shit done, but I have to tackle this technical headache, I was also in the process of re-organizing my files (because my original os got kinda fucked up from crashing so much), and got a couple of other things going on. My partner and I are celebrating our 2yr married/10yr together anniversary and are going to be taking some time together. Woo!

ALSO!!! GOLDEN MEAN IS GETTING READY TO RELEASE IT'S NEXT CHAPTER!!! I don't quite know the date yet, but if you haven't checked it out yet, now's the time to get caught up. The ever wonderful Dr. Molly has been my biggest motivation and a fantastic mentor to me. Go check him out!

PC problems and life gonna cause delays. Not stopping work, just gonna be taking it slow the next ~week or two. Check out Golden Mean in the mean time! hehehe... "mean time"...
