I figured out most of my problems. Noticed using a "Set Material" node with an empty entry stops the materials from showing up on the instanced buttons on the grid, so I deleted that and it worked. Now I need to adjust the individual button materials so they don't all sync the same. Might even throw in a "blank" to break it up more. (Edit) Threw in a blank and changed each of the color ramp colors and each scale of the noise textures. It's good enough for what I was trying to do. I really want to sync the button presses with the lights turning on but i think that is a little beyond me atm.

2024-03-27 20:49:38 +0000 UTCwell I haven't tried yet but I assume I am going to have to make individual buttons, apply the effect to each button and then instance them as a collection on the grid in order to merge the effects

2024-03-20 23:09:42 +0000 UTCalright so, I made a single button, instanced it on a grid, made and bool'd the base and made the buttons move up and down like I wanted but the material set up doesn't work the same, it changes all the buttons colors at the same time. Resizing the UV didn't do anything (didn't think it would for just the 1)

What I would like to know is if there is a way to make the buttons look like they are randomly being pressed or at least moving up and down a bit? I thought about applying a displacement controlled by an empty but I don't think that would look natural?
