I never liked Wesley Crusher but it is more the actual actor he comes off very smug and annoying. Just rubs me the wrong way. But you are right it fit the character he was playing.

Good predictions from you this episode with Elliot making out with his counterpart and them sending Sophie's friend off with one of the fakes. Haha, what's your problem with Will Wheaton? I like how he has taken all the Trekkie hate in stride from people who didn't like him on TNG, and was willing to play an asshole version of himself on TBBT. Think I've seen him playing himself on something else as well, don't remember what. π€ And I personally have no issue with Wesley Crusher. π€·ββοΈ Also like him here. Really sells the loser computer nerd/psycho. π But I admit I don't know anything about him off camera, so ignore my praise if he's an irl jerk or something. π
