The Originals 1X18: The Big Uneasy

So, for the first half of this episode I was kind of bored. But then, THEN it became an amazing episode. OMG. I wish I was binging the rest of this season right now. Also, I want the end of this episode Elijah all the damn time.

I kinda don't remember what happened in the beginning because I was kinda bored. But, I know we were running around trying to convince all the factions to come to the feast day the witches were having, and the afterparty to show we were all willing to abide by the truce.

Things were, whatever, until it was party time. Shortly before than, Marcel was pissed off and trying to convince Thierry to join up with him to take back the Quarter. He was skeptical, because, how could you overcome the brothers? But Marcel had a plan.

All the factions showed up at the party. We're giving gifts to the witches in exchange for blessings. Hayley tries to give hers to Davina but she gets instructed to leave it elsewhere, I wonder if that's important. Cami gives Genevieve a thoughtful gift in hopes that she'll change her mind and help her uncle. And Klaus gives Davina the gift of a ring. Along with his mother's spell for turning it into a daylight ring. I don't know if this was manipulative or not. Does he want her to be special (i.e. the only one with this power? Or does he want her to be overrun with requests from vampires asking for help?)

And while we're all mingling and trying to get along as best we can, Marcel sends a drum line over. They all slit their wrists causing the vampires to go crazy and eat and kill them (I think these are humans?). At some point, the lights go off, and when they turn back on, written in blood on the wall is: There will be no peace. During the darkness, both Hayley and Elijah call out to each other. Klaus be damned.

Elijah heads right over to Marcel. He threatens him, and Marcel tells him if he kills him, he'll never learn why Klaus is consorting with the witches, or the werewolves. Plus, Klaus will never forgive him for killing him. So, he kills Thierry instead. Holy shit. This was so fucking awesome.

Meanwhile, Klaus gives Genevieve a gift. But when she opens it, it's just her friend's chopped off hands in a box (she sent him to steal Klaus' mother's grimoire). She's pissed and tells Klaus that she was going to help Cami after her thoughtful gift, but not anymore.

And, full credit (I mean, sort of) to Klaus, he goes over and tells Cami that it's his fault that her uncle won't be getting cure. But, he, of course, is sure to lay into the fact that he's pissed off that he found out she slept with Marcel (like he's not sleeping with anyone he sees fit).

Elijah tells Klaus that he's tired of trying to fix him (fucking finally) and he's taking what he wants (Yes! Go get Hayley!) He heads over to the bayou, but just watches her, happy that she seems healthy and happy. Enough. I'm 100% ready for these two to get together!

And the witches have now decided that the ultimate sacrifice for the ancestors is Hayley's baby. Of course it is. Fun.
