I was kind of disappointed in this episode. Especially after we just got back from a totally unrelated crossover set of episodes. I was really hoping we'd get to focus on Oliver, but a lot of this episode is about Emiko and her quest for revenge. There's nothing really wrong with this, but I don't know Emiko. I'm not invested in her. And a bunch of stuff at ARGUS. Maybe my actual complaint is that everything is so splinted right now (or, I guess, still).
So, Oliver is starting his work with the police. And we've got our first actual evidence of the New Green Arrow; some blood of their's after they fell out a window. In order to hurry up the DNA, Oliver brings the blood to Felicity to analyze. And they have some really weird banter. She seems like she's trying really hard to be upbeat and positive, like she's trying to be what Oliver has told her he wants out of her. Oliver, on the other hand, barely seems to respond. He seems very uncomfortable. I don't like it.
Anyway, turns out the blood is from Oliver's half sister (you know, the one he didn't know he had). Felicity does some more computer stuff and finds out Moira's been storing a bunch of stuff, so she has it sent over to the loft. They start digging through it and Oliver finds a letter his dad sent to Walter which claims he had another family. Like we need anymore drama in the Queen family tree.
Emiko, for her part, heads over to Rene when she gets injured. He patches her up and together they work on getting the guy who killed her mom last year (she really didn't wanna let Rene help, but he wore her down). But, when they get there, she finds out he wasn't actually the murderer. And now she needs to start all over again. She heads over to Robert's grave where Oliver shows up and they finally meet.
While this is happening, Lyla and Dig are busy trying to get Diaz to tell them where Dante is. He refuses over and over until Diggle offer to let him go if he helps him. Apparently, he's just reactivated the suicide squad of his own accord. And Lyla is not happy. But, what's done is done.
In the flash forward, we find out that Rene is the mayor of the Glades and is not very interested in what happens in Star City. Zoe and Dinah confront him for access to his security passwords which he doesn't want to give. But, Dinah threatens to beat him up, so he gives it to her? This is also the first Rene hears about Felicity being murdered. He goes back to his guy and was all, 'Is this true?' and the dude was like 'Yeah, is that an issue?' and Rene says, 'Nope.' And the other guy's like, 'Good. Thought maybe you were getting cold feet.' Is Rene in on this explosion plan?
