OMG. Buck. Get it together, love. I know this is new and different for you, but you're acting like a babbling idiot. 🤣 You could have literally said nothing, and it would have been fine.
So, Buck and Tommy have their date. And Buck doesn't handle it particularly well. (We're gonna go look at hot chicks after this since hot chicks like firemen. Seriously Buck?). But after being super weird on the date, Tommy ends up bailing claiming that Buck isn't really for this. And, at the time, I didn't think he was wrong, but it didn't take long for me to get on board.
He goes to take to Maddie about it, and then later, tells the truth to Eddie. Who barely even blinks when he tells him he and Tommy were on a date. He just wants Buck to be happy. He doesn't care what that looks like (which is why I want the two of them together!). But, he does convince Buck to call him back. He does, and they go on a second date, where Buck convinces him to be his date for Maddie and Chim's wedding (which is apparently the next episode).
Meanwhile, Hen and Karen get a foster (I think) child who had the misfortune of being in a group home after she found both her parents dead of an overdose. It's pretty heavy, honestly, but I think Hen and Karen handle it really well. Mara ends up destroying a toy Denny gave her, giving Denny stitches, and have a screaming fit in Hen and Karen's bedroom all in the first day.
Eventually, Karen gives her a monitor so she can observe what's going on with she and Hen sleep. (I think this is super odd as I imagine Hen and Karen are having sex in that bed and you don't want a child to be able to watch that, but I really do get the sentiment of it. I'm going with the assumption that they've decided to only have sex when Mara is not the in the house).
Eddie has decided to move Marisol in (which seems insane, he's only been dating her for like a month), but quickly realizes it might be a problem. Turns out she used to be an almost nun and Eddie is having a very hard time wrapping his brain around having sex with her after that. Eventually, he talks to Bobby and they decide to slow things down and she moves out. Huzzah!
Finally, we get the beginning of Maddie and Chim's wedding (which I assume happens next episode). Eddie and Buck show up 30 minutes late, completely disheveled, and no idea where Chim is. It seems like this next episode is gonna be a lot of fun.
