The Vampire Diaries 2X20: The Last Day

OMG. I'm so afraid that S3 is going to be a disappointment given how amazing this season has been.

So, Elijah has some elixir that he claims will bring Elena back from the dead after Klaus drains her. However, there are no guarantees. But, Elena is willing to risk it and the absolute dismay of Damon. She goes to talk to him afterwards and he loses it and forces her to drink his blood. That way, she'll be assured to come back no matter what. Both she and Stefan are furious with him. Afterwards, Elijah tells him that the elixir won't work now that she's got vampire blood in her.

Alaric shows back up (he's fine, I guess) with a message. The ritual happens tonight.

Meanwhile, Klaus is collecting all the things he needs. He's got Tyler (werewolf), Caroline (vampire), moonstone, and Elena. Now all he needs is for it to be the full moon. Caroline and Tyler are chained up in the tomb, and Caroline explains to him what's happening.

Damon, who is desperate to postpone the ritual so Elena won't get turned into a vampire, tries to reason with Klaus, but to no avail. So, he goes and frees Caroline. However, she won't go without Tyler. So the three of them, and Matt (yeah, he showed up to try to save Caroline too) try to escape, but Tyler starts to turn. He orders them to run and then lunges at Caroline, but Damon jumps in between them. Caroline and Matt escape, while Damon fights Tyler. Unfortunately, getting bitten in the process.

Afterwards, he goes to Klaus and tells him about freeing this vampire and werewolf, but Klaus had a back up plan. He's got Jules and has turned Jenna into a vampire.

Stefan is desperate to keep Elena from going with Klaus, but she goes anyway. Greta takes her to a clearing where she discovers Jenna writing on the ground and cannot figure out what's going on. Greta tells her she transitioning and that she's the vampire they'll be using.

Fuck. Where do we go from here? Jenna is gonna be a vampire, (and maybe Elena as well?), Damon has been bitten by a werewolf (how is he not gonna die?), and Bonnie seems to have no idea what's happening right now. Im so unhappy that I don't watch the next episode for almost a week. Ahhhhh!
